This review is for the service visit by Steve today 05/20/2020.
I've had some good - and never ever bad - service appts for my water softener, including upgrading it within the last 2-few years, but this was over-the-top GREAT!
You could say I now have a water softener guy. You need a mechanic, a plumber, etc. Well, Steve is that good. He communicated very well, explained things, and provided insights to help me further understand my water softener and how to utilize and care for it. He patiently answered my questions and demonstrated before and after how hard my water was.
Steve was also prompt, conscientious of my property and efficient. The appt was over before I knew it, and even at the end he remained positive and patient.
THIS WAS GREAT SERVICE!!! Thank you!
(A note for Puronics phone customer service: multiple calls revealed issues reaching someone and getting the call started to make a service appt. I'll chalk it up to the pandemic and understaffing or alternate systems in use, and won't factor it in here. PSA: Be aware that when changing filters Puronics will pressurize your tank which can damage it. You will be charged for labor to replace the tank.
I had the carbon filters replaced and they pressurized the tank to quickly drain the water. After it was all done the technician left and the water pressure dropped to a very low flow. They came and inspected a couple of more times and said that the tank is faulty. But the tank for 3 years has been working fine until after the technician pressurized it. They said that the tank is faulty because of the seal on the air input stem is broken and air is leaking. They said that because they didn't damage it they will need to charge me labor to get the tank replaced, which is $188 for 10-15mins of work. Well the tank would be fine if they didn't touch it and just replaced my filters. I bought their water purifying system last year, and it was supposed to include one free service within the first year. Following the initial installation on May 10, 2023, it came to my attention that the installers didn't do the installation correctly and so they came back the next day (May 11, 2023) to fix the installation and explain what was left out on May 10.
I called the other day after returning from my trip to request the free one year service option. If I could give no start to this company I would. After installing our water filter and promising to check after and even said we would get 2 years supplies of soaps (that never happened), everything was only promised.

This "company" is the worst I've ever dealt with. From what I can tell it is made up of 2 maybe 3 people who do their best to avoid solving any problems or then avoid communications. They outsource installation to third party companies (which seems pretty common in the industry), but taking it one step further these third part companies frequently over promise, and under deliver, and finally- GO BANKRUPT so you have no one to contact when issues come up.
Doug at Puronics seems to be the only contact that all of your customer service issues get forwarded to - and again - eventually falls off communication. I requested a head unit replacement for my system which was installed only 4 months ago (and this head unit broke after 1 month of installation). I still have not received it and for the last month have not received any return to my communications. $4000 paid and a broken - unusable system sits in my basement.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Horrible installation & poor customer service.
I purchased this system for the second time on my new house since the first system I had worked great. I purchased the system my first week at the new house as it was still getting remodeled. I knew what the system did and didn't pay much attention to the install since my attention was focused on the remodel of the home. I somehow was blind and didn't see the install work quality until 3 years later when I realized how horrible of an install the technician did! The system is tucked away in the corner of the garage and I did not notice this until we were getting our garage floors epoxied.
I immediately called customer service and sent them photos of the mud and caulking the installer smushed together to remake a patch of missing dry wall. The customer service lady said this is normal and I should hire someone else to fix it... I explained how unhappy I was and how my first house had a clean install. She said she would call me back and it's been over 2 weeks.
