Very good, traditional Trinidadian cuisine. The Roti is to die for, my favourite is Goat, but I like all of them. The doubles are very good too. Rehanah is a one woman show, she is the owner, the cook, the server and she always makes her food with love. Well worth the trip out to Port Moody just to get top notch food.

Very casual, bare bones shop with two tables, so it's mostly to-go orders. They have a bunch of vegetarian/vegan options, so I stopped in to grab a mixed veggie roti with chick peas, potato and veggies ($9.75 plus tax). I was quoted 10 minutes and that's how long it took.
The roti was massive and piping hot -- you'd have to let it sit for 15 minutes at least to be a comfortable temperature to eat. Inside are mostly chickpeas and potatoes, with a tiny of carrot and a few morsels of red pepper. The roti itself was floury and chewy. Flavour-wise, it's similar to an Indian roti but a lot less interesting and a bit boring to be honest.
All in all, good value for money, reasonably tasty but boring, and super friendly service. Worth trying, but I won't rush back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 414113190Sep 21, 2022
My husband offered to take my daughter and I to Rehanah's Roti Shop in Port Moody, and I jumped at the opportunity to go there. It had been a few years since we last went there and I'd been itching to go there for awhile. As the name of the shop implies, they serve Roti, but not just any Roti...they serve Trinidadian style Roti. My mother was born and raised in Trinidad, so Trinidadian food holds a special place in my heart.
Trinidadian Roti is basically a wrap sandwich that's filled with curried meat, vegetable or seafood filling. There's dhalpourie roti or paratha roti (also known as bussup shut). Rehanah's Roti sells dhalpourie roti. Difference between dhalpourie and bussup shut? The explanation I've heard is that bussup shut is "busted up" into tattered pieces.
Roti: We ordered Shrimp Roti and Mixed Veggie Roti. Awesome flavour; however the filling is heavy with potatoes and sparse on the other ingredients. The Vegetarian Rotis are all under $10; however, the meat and seafood Rotis can be a bit pricey considering how much of the Roti is filled with potato.
Service: Fair (One woman running the entire shop. She takes the order, runs the till, and makes the food.)
Parking: Free street parking
Location: On St. Johns St., which is a main street lined with shops and restaurants in Port Moody.
It's a very small restaurant and as a result of the pandemic they only do takeout. There is however, a small table and chairs to sit and wait while your order is being prepared. There are so few places that serve Trinidadian food. This place is a precious commodity!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 31, 2021
So...I don't normally say that I was blown away by food.... But OMG I WAS BLOWN AWAY by their chicken roti. It's recommended that you place an order in advance (I ordered a day in advance) unless you don't mind to wait 20-30 mins. They're only open for lunch so make sure you check their hours before you head over.
For a roti, you pick the filing and spice level. I ordered a medium spicy chicken roti. It was still piping hot when I opened it at home. The roti itself has some kind of curry seasoning inbetween the layers and it's tasty on its own even without the filing! The filing was seasoned chicken and potato which reminded me of samosas.
It's seriously so good I 100% recommend giving this place a try!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 14Oh no 0 - Jessica M.Port Moody, Canada193Sep 5, 2022
My favourite lunch spot. Goat Roti
Rehanah is cooking in the back and greeting you in the front. It's a small cafe with seating for less than 10 inside. A gem of a spot! Cash only!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jay M.Vancouver, Canada713541Apr 27, 2022
Always wanted to try this place as there is an extreme lack of Caribbean food in Vancouver. Tiny hole in the wall joint in Port Moody. Currently take out only. I ordered the Goat Roti and Chicken Pati. When I asked about steamed rice roti if it was inside it she loudly cut me off and belted out "we don have no rice". I was like ah so typical Caribbean mama service. Nice! Adds some tradish flavour already. Chicken pie was hot, full of stuffing and really yummy. Goat Roti was even more thrilling. Piping hot chunks of Goat with a nice curry spice. Me real happy and me gonna give it 5 stars luv. . CASH ONLY!! And best to call ahead as it takes 20 min to prep or depends on whats ready. Hours are short 11:30-4 pm.

A little hole in the wall, I've always wanted to try. I got the goat roti to go and even by the time I got home it was still piping hot! It was DELICIOUS and will def be back to try the other options. It's actually pretty dense and I probably could have just cut it in half and gotten two small meals out of it, but it was so good I just inhaled it all. I got medium spicy and will be getting hot next time (I'm Korean so I love my spice). The lady there was super sweet and I'll be back for sure! (FYI it's cash only)

I've been eyeing this little store for the longest time and finally decided to stop by. It is a small shack in Port Moody and it is so easy to miss it. The inside of the store is very simple and plain, and there is a simple menu as well.
After reading a bunch of reviews, I decided to order one of their rotis. I got the shrimp and lamb roti, and it is incredible. It smells so good and it is so fresh and delicious. There is so much flavour in the lamb and the Roti is absolutely delicious. The roti is like essentially a wrap.
I paid with cash but I don't know if they accept cash. Overall, it's a really cool place to check out and I would recommend having something to go. The inside of the store is quite hot and stuffy, so to go is the way to do it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
