      This Honda service location truly offers the best service I have ever received from any other vehicle maintenance service shop, ever! The staff in the office is very friendly, personable, and very professional. They really take the time to explain everything I need to know about every aspect of maintenance. I tend to ask a lot of questions and the guys, Johnny, Allan, and Nimh really take the time to explain the details to me. Have had few very negative experiences at the SF-Honda on VanNess, therefore going to the Marina really feels like another world. It makes me very happy and comfortable to own a Honda. Keep it up Honda Marina!!

      Went in for a check-up on the car, staff was great and did a very throughout job. Their staff was very friendly and timely with their work. Great place to take your Honda.

      They have called me four times in the last week, each time leaving a voicemail asking me to come in for service.

      Strangest thing is I've only been there once and it was seven years ago.

      I had to call them back just to ask them to take me off their list.

      Incredibly unprofessional and annoying.

      I'm writing this in part to warn others about going there and in part to release the unpleasant experience with this business.

      What happened:
      I tried making a reservation over the phone and no one picked up. This led me to make reservation on their website, and I got a confirmation. I showed up 10 minutes prior to the appointment and the team member told me that the mechanics are going home. I mentioned that I made a reservation and the team member said "I understand but I'll check with the mechanic." He walks over to the mechanic and mechanic says no. Without trying, he walks back and told me that I'm out of luck. I pleaded with them to do a quick oil change since I've already taken time off work to make the trip over. I was so determined to make it work that I offered to pay extra to get the oil change done right then (in cash to them directly). The mechanic laughed and said that he's going home. I reiterated that I had made a reservation and the team member said, "I understand, but we're closed."

      Looking back, I am actually glad that I didn't let them change my car's oil. The amount of "not my business" they had was off the chart. I sympathize with the team if it was someone else's responsibility to make sure that they know about the reservation or update the availabilities online. From a consumer's perspective, I question if I can trust my car with an establishment that doesn't care at all. Looking at the reviews online, I know that I'm not the only one who had issues with them. Honestly, they probably won't even care if they saw this since they care so little about anything.

      There are so many other options in SF. You can find elsewhere that respects your time and gets the job done.

      I've never had a better customer service experience, especially for car repairs which can be incredibly stressful. John made sure to give me a call & leave a voicemail with information & made my life so much easier. Im glad he's at this location!

      San Francisco Marina Honda on Lombard is AWESOME!!! They are a very honest business, and they do EXCELLENT work at FAIR prices. They can do anything.

      I want to give a special THANKS to John Bartley. I worked with him today regarding an issue with my car, and he is FANTASTIC! He is EXTREMELY kind, professional, knowledgeable, smart, skilled, hardworking and overall EXCEPTIONAL at his job. I also want to THANK Mike who is an INCREDIBLE mechanic. John and Mike are some of the VERY BEST employees San Francisco Honda has ever had!!!

      I highly recommend San Francisco Marina Honda for any auto mechanic work you need!!!

      Our trusty 2001 Honda CRV was broken into again. They took all sorts of weird things, but mainly left all the lights on and hung up the kids' baby shades which we forgot were even in there to hide their dirty deeds. Leaving all lights on, they killed the battery dead. I had to get a new battery and that knocks out your radio code. Simon and the guys at SF Honda Marina were friendly, amazing and so kind -they took the time to help me find that code and we're just the best!

      San Francisco Honda Marina Service Center will rip you off. On top of that, they do shoddy work. DO NOT let them touch your vehicle!

      Lawrence, Ace, Chris, Jim...they will lie to your face and rob you blind.

      Brought my Honda Element to them for a check engine light. After charging me $200 for diagnosis, they said the head gasket was blown.

      They quoted $3.7K for a new head gasket, or $5K for a replacement motor, of course they recommended the latter. I got a few other quotes that were less than half the cost, but decided to trust their recommendation because they offered a 12 month warranty, and the Honda Dealership should be honest, right? ***WRONG**!!!

      I trusted that they would put a quality engine in, and I was wrong. They literally got the cheapest engine possible, with no VIN history, from EngineWorld in Emeryville (look at their abysmal reviews) 3 months later the engine crapped out on the freeway I had to have it towed to Honda Marina Service (at my expense).

      They said they would charge me another 200 diagnosis, and if it was the engine, it would be covered under warranty.

      Two days later they called and said indeed it was the replacement engine that failed, but that I would have to pay for the labor to replace the replacement engine. That's 80% of the cost of the replacement! And they'll warranty a used engine, but not their labor?? That is not a warranty, it's a SCAM!

      I tried to reason with the GM of SF Honda, who only passed the buck to the service director, who could care less about the customer.

      I am filing complaints with Honda Corporate and the BBB etc. and congratulations, Honda just lost another customer for life.

      Brought my Honda in for 30k service. Phil Torres was outstanding and amazing. I typically do my service in San Carlos, but experience at San Francisco Honda was so incredible that I am not going back to mid peninsula. Phil provided exceptional service and quality interactions each step of the way, with a focus on keeping me informed, delivering the car on time, and taking care of additional issues expeditiously. I felt cared for and respected/valued for my time, choice of where I service my car, and pocketbook. I will definitely bring my car back to San Francisco Honda Marina service center and look forward to working with Phil Torres again.
