It has happened to me more than a few occasions that I have long layover in SF airport transit for international flights. The airport is big, but it's fairly easy to navigate. Due to the long layover, I have always used the airport lounge of UA, and it's pretty decent, easing the pain for the 8-10 hours of wait time.

Interesting there's a Yelp listing for "Terminal 3 E," a.k.a. "Terminal 3 East" and "Boarding Area E," at SFO. There's already a listing for Terminal 3: https://www.yelp.com/biz/san-francisco-international-airport-terminal-3-san-francisco. How granular will it get? Maybe there should be a Yelp listing for each gate. Kidding.

The last time I was in this terminal, I used Gate E4 to board United Airlines flight UA 753, SFO to ATL, nonstop. It was a good gate with comfortable seating and decent views of the tarmac. I sat in one of the swivel chairs by the windows. The fabric was dirty, but not so dirty I wouldn't sit on it. I didn't need to use any power/USB outlets so I don't recall what the situation was for those. The jet bridge wobbled more than I'm used to, while we were waiting in line inside of it. Parked at the gate was a Boeing B737-MAX8/9.

Terminal 3 contains the E and F gates. On an ordinary Tuesday morning before 10am, the TSA PreCheck line for Terminal 3 looked long, but moved fast. The estimated wait time was 6 minutes and it was spot-on.

Terminal 3 E was busy, but it wasn't overly crowded. I used the men's restroom across from Gate E2. It was clean and comfortable. No issues.

The terminal, especially the first part after going through security (where Gates E1-E3 are), looked nice. It appeared to have been updated relatively recently. I looked it up -- according to Wikipedia, "Boarding Area E reopened on January 28, 2014, followed by Terminal 3 East on November 18, 2014." 3 E was similar to other nice, modernized airport terminals I've been in in recent years. The glossy interior reminded me of an upscale shopping mall. I like it.

3 E contains 13 gates, E1 through E13 (no skipped/missing gate numbers here). It's in an L shape and not too big. It has a Burger King and Peet's Coffee, along with other shops and restaurants. Good terminal.

Flying United SFO to ONT flights are typically on-time with zero issues. Only complaint is these small planes can't handle a regular size carry-on bag so it always has to be checked! Which means I have to go to baggage claim. Waaaa. *sulks

On a better happier note, they always have good food/restaurant choices at SFO. They offer enough healthy options as well as the comfort foods too.

Really wonderful airport, terminals and staff.
I have been flying through SFO for many years and it is well done!
      Thank you SFO!

SFO United Airlines have one of the best service with 90% on time no delays majority of the time I have flown with them. Their flight deals are a bit higher than most airlines but you get what you pay for- I don't mind paying a bit more for a better service.

I flew United Airlines about a month ago, so we explored Terminal 3E. Since our flight was at 1am, absolutely nothing was open. (Not sure if it was due to covid or if it's normally like this.) We got here on Tuesday, December 8th around 11:30pm.

I wasn't sure if the flight would have any kind of beverage service so I was bummed I couldn't buy a bottle of water. (Turns out United did give us a little snack pack with a small bottle of water so at least I could stay hydrated.) But if you're taking a super late flight, make sure to bring an empty bottle so you can refill it at the airport.

From the looks of it, this is an improvement on the old Terminal 3. I just wished at least one convenience type store was open.

Easy airport to navigate and I have always thought the Security lines move quickly!
I dig the food and drink options, lots of outlets for charging, clean bathrooms.. What else do you really need!
      Nothing!

I love SFO, I can't take enough flights to make me hate SFO other than Karl (the fog) most flights are ok.

"I mean New York To SFO In 6hrs, that trip used to take 30 years. And some people would die on the way over, and possibly procreate on the journey. It will be a totally different group by the time you get to California." -Louis C.k

Sfo is a great airport and I prefer to fly into Sfo over LAX, or EWR

The makeover here at SFO International Airport is a beautiful thing for travelers on the go.
My review takes place here on United Airlines Terminal 3 near Gate 62.

I really like the Modern Star Trek Caption Kirk Style Swivel Chairs with egg shaped marble tables that easily can be used as a footrest.

There are plenty of electrical outlets strategically placed throughout the seated waiting areas.

The center Island laptop areas in between the gates, specialty shops and fast food/beverage eateries create a convenient work and snack area with individual plug ins.

The "Free WiFi" allows you to scope out a variety of items here at the airport.

Other than the occasional USO automated announcements, the noise level was relatively low to average. I'm sure it will increase as the sun rises and active flights begin.

Another bonus for thirsty travelers that carry their own flasks is the free "GLOBALTAP" water station located at the front and center of the center Island laptop area.

For those who feel the need to stretch out and or meditate, there's a Yoga Room next to the Telephone and Vending Machine Area.

Break out your mat and Yoga on! It appears they have a few on hand if you left yours at home!

Would love to see some of these amenities added to our HNL International Airport!

Other than the price gouging you expect on the basics at Airports, it's really a nice Airport.
I give A Four Star "Shaka" to the Terminal 3 UAL Side ofSFO Airport!

Super clean, easy to navigate, and a good amount of seating options. Terminal 3 has a few different food options, some sit-down and some fast food. There are also a few gift shops to grab snacks or SF gear. Overall good experience here!

Well ... it's San Francisco and its the primary airport and it's United's terminal and it's ... well, what else is there to say? SFO is great since it has a lot of shops and restaurants, and a nice selection of those I might add, but it's fairly large and always jam-packed. It's kept clean though, and I love that they have compost receptacles (well, it's California after all).

Love direct flights here and love SFO as a connecting city.
