    • Q:

How many minutes does it take to walk gate 68 to 86? Is a 45 min layover enough time?

      A:

At a regular pace, it's about a 10 minute walk...not as close as you'd think. I've made it with a 45 min layover before but I'm usually toward the front of the plane and only have a carry on. If anything compresses your 45 minute layover, it will… more

It depends what you mean by eat well. Personally, I like Bun mee its vietnamese. The chicken pho is excellent and so is the tofu bahn mi sandwich. There is also a Japanese place called Santoku where you can get sushi rolls, bowls and miso soup,… more

A great airport. Nice and spacious.
      Two areas of improvement
      1. More seating
      2. More food available after hours. If the airport is open, have at least one place open selling food. The vending machines weren't working and there were no food options.
Otherwise a great, clean, easy to use airport.

It's a fine airport for us to use often. Convenient via BART and it's great to have TSA precheck which expedites your passage through security.

I've flown quite a bit internationally and the lounges are good and coming back with Global Entry is awesome.

I have flown into San Francisco once, flown out of San Francisco twice -- all with the purpose of visiting Napa and Sonoma. Overall, the airport has been a solid experience, so long as you can navigate your way to the appropriate terminal from the rental car garage via the tramway, and vice versa.

Depending on the airline you're using to fly out of San Francisco, you may have the pleasure of enjoying an incredibly stylish and modern terminal. If this happens, you have a plethora of different food options and lots of terrific seat options in the waiting area for the perspective gate where your flight is departing. You can kick back and relax while charging your electronics. If you find yourself in an older-looking terminal, it looks not much different from flying out of Logan International Airport in Boston if you remember it from the 1980s: dirty, crowded, and loud.

Again, it depends on the airline and which terminal it arrives and departs from that will determine how your experience is. But overall, I like the airport. Arriving into San Francisco is easy and where you go to grab your luggage. You just need to ensure you follow the signs and know where to go for the rental car unless you already have people or transportation pick you up. Overall, our flights from San Francisco have been smooth with little delay, so can't complain there.

A decent U.S. airport. The peeps at the gates do their jobs efficiently and quickly. Bathrooms are clean, as is the rest of the place. I tend to stop at the bar before my flight (yes, I'm scared to death of flying). There was a bar within a 45-second walk of my gate here. Yes!

I think the last time I flew out of SFO was 2014 on Cathay Pacific. My goodness, the international terminal is very nice and modern. So much has changed!

The signs to reach the international terminals were a little confusing once we were in SFO. I was taking a left, right, left, right, and just making circles. I suggest allowing extra time if you're dropping off someone.

Terminal 3 security was a breeze with TSA pre-check, and the lounge is all located on the left-hand side as you exit security. There are people movers, so walking to the gates is within 5-10 minutes. A ton of high-end shops like Gucci, Hermes, YSL, and food options. It wouldn't be awful if your flight is delayed.

Pretty busy airport and if you don't read the signs fast enough, you'll be stuck in a loop, but I just parked in the Short Term-far right parking lot and walked up over to pick you up my son. It was relatively easy, but still took two hours for him to get through customs and his 1 suitcases.

So thankful to the SFO security, airport staff, and United Airlines crew. I was very impressed with their support and willingness to help.

My daughter left her iPhone in the F concourse area during our inbound flight to SFO. By the time she realized what she had done, we were already leaving the airport with our luggage.

We headed back and asked for assistance from the information representative, who channeled us to the United Airline crew member. The UA crew member assisted us to find the white assistance phone. We called the non-emergency line for security. They got the detailed of our issue and mobilized their team to do the search.

They scanned the bathroom but could not find the phone. After a bit of searching and digging, they discovered that someone had handed it in to the UA service desk.

The security officer delivered my daughter's phone to us. We couldn't be happier. Big THANK YOU

My only regret is not being able to get the UA crew member's name and security officer's info. This was on October 15, 2023 around 715pm PST.

The main terminal for United, big and clean. Lots of decent food options. Bathrooms are newer and clean and big. Overall a nice terminal to fly out from.
