Seaview Tire & Brake Center

I've had my cars serviced at Seaview a couple times & always left impressed with the service. Bill, owner?, is thorough with explaining all the issues found and gives plenty of options to fix.

Most recently, his team found a tire issue that I had to resolve with a car dealership. Without the help of Seaview, I might be still driving with a defective set of tires!

It is not often at the vanguard of our consciences but each time you take your car in for servicing, you have a natural expectation that the person(s) you entrust your vehicle to has a level of integrity, and will use their expertise to resolve

Such is not the case with Seaview Tire in Pacifica. Several months ago I purchased three new tires from Bill, the owner of this establishment. I was told that it came with free tire rotation every 5,000 miles. So when that time came, I scheduled an appointment for my free tire rotation. Yea, free my a$$. As I was waiting in the waiting area, he proudly rolled one of my tires in to show me that I had a nail in it.

As someone schooled in forensic science and criminal justice, it took all but a cursory glance to notice that the nail head carried no wear on it from driving - it looked freshly planted.

His assistant came in with a big smile on his face letting me know that my car was ready and that I just had to pay for the nail patch. Shame and me for not asking up front what the cost would be to repair a nail patch (that wasn't there before.) Bill, the owner, presented me with a bill of $57.50. I knew something was off, he couldn't even look me in the eye. I was burning with fury but had to hold it back. As a black woman living in a racist society like the US, any outburst on my part would label me "an angry black woman" could, and would probably land me in jail... which would cause me to declare World War III on the US but I digress.

I have been spreading the word - inevitably telling everyone to avoid this place. Two days ago, someone reminded me not to fret over the $57.50 that he 'stole' from me but rather look at it as payment to receive good karma, which would only mean that Bill and his assistant would be at the receiving end of some extremely bad karma. When you do bad things to people you enslave yourself in the evil that you disperse to others. And even as I type this, I issue a wry smile at what's to come.

To Bill and his assistant at Seaview Tires, your machinations have tallied to your pending end.

Got a nail on my rear tire. I went to another place, " fixed it" spent money just to find out my tire was flat again.
Came to Seaview Tire & Break center, a completely different experience.
Bill took the time to explain everything that I needed to know with great detail and even though my tire was not repairable.
They were able to order the type of tires I currently have, later in afternoon and I got them replaced early in the morning the next day. An outstanding customer service. Happy to make business with them. Professional, and friendly.

I needed to patch a brand new 2023 bmw x5 rear tire after driving over a nail and was fortunate to be referred to Seaview who has the equipment and expertise to help. If you have any tire needs, feel confident that they can help you. Great family run business and def top of my list for any tire needs.

(Finishing up a draft from a while ago.) Dude was mansplaining to me. As if I didn't know the first thing about my high-performance car and tires. Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I'm clueless.

He quoted me a price for tires that was $300 more than my mechanic in SSF ended up charging me for the same tires.

He was also taking his mask off in the shop and the door was closed. Did not feel COVID-safe.

Bill and his staff do an excellent job! They're friendly and thorough. When you get tires there they check them monthly. It's also great to support a local, small business. I definitely recommend!

I don't usually write my Yelp reviews right after I walk out of a business, but this time it was called for: Bill and his team at Seaview Tire are absolutely terrific!

I came in with what ended up being a screw in my tire, and the level of professionalism these fellows showed was phenomenal. As nice as can be, excellent work, extremely reasonable wait, and the technician explained exactly what had happened and what he did to repair the tire -- and the price was right.

I feel bad -- in the past I had been going to the other major place in town, because it was closer to where I live...but now I realize it is well worth driving a bit further to get this kind of great service. Oh, and -- walking into this place ... lots of space, and nice and calm! A big difference from the other guys' cramped quarters.

One of my tires was completely flat due to a huge bolt on a late afternoon on a Saturday. I immediately looked up open tire shops, and thankfully Seaview was still open. They put my spare tire on and ordered a new tire for me. I don't know how their price compares, but I assume I paid more for the convenience. Either way, I was more than happy to support a small business with friendly workers.

DISHONEST - they took advantage of my family member - charged almost 3x what it should have cost for routine repair. AVOID

My valve stem on the wheel cracked and air was leaking out from the crack. I called them, and they quoted $42 to fix that. I brought the car to them. He opened the tire up and said the inside is very messy. So he refused to repair this tire. I explained to him that I drove this flat tire for about one mile before I discovered that the tire is flat. He refused to repair the valve stem. He wants me to buy a brand new tire.

Then I said fix my spare tire. It has a hole somewhre. Just patch up the hole. He found the hole with soap water. And he quoted me $45 to fix the hole.

Then he took apart the spare tire. Then once again he said he is not willing to repair the spare tire. He said somebody else has patched up another hole before on that tire. So he refuses to patch it up again. He wants me to buy a brand new tire.

At the end, he took apart 2 tires and refuse to put them back together unless I buy a brand new tire. So I did buy a brand new tire. Whole thing costed me $137 instead of $45.

So before you take your tire to this shop hoping for a patch of a small hole or replace just the stem valve and spend small amount of money, I bet you that he will refuse to repair it for you once he took apart the tire and will demand you to buy a brand new tire.
