Shore Thing Rentals

Michele was absolutely wonderful and very helpful. She told us which way to paddle to see different things, and even offered to take our picture. Looking forward to the next time!

Have been to shore things twice now and can't wait to go back. I try to get on the water every year for a birthday activity. The woman in the shop is lovely as is her dog. Pricing is cheap and owner is not strict on timing of the rental allowing you to really enjoy your time without rushing back to return. Would recommend this spot :)

Omigosh, this place is just...perfect. *Really* friendly people, helpful, and the boats were in excellent shape. We rented a double-kayak for us and our dog (first time out on the water--yes, we had her in a snug life jacket we brought along). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get out of the city for a day and paddle around. If you're feeling extremely ambitious, I suppose you could head over to CT, but we were happy just tooling around the cove.

What a great experience! I have rented kayaks at other places nearby and this was awesome! Michelle was very kind and welcoming. She got us all set up and took photos for us without us asking! I will definitely be back.

I had a great time here! We got a double seated kayak 40$ for an hour , prices were very fair, the owner was very nice and cool about everything . I would definitely return here and recommend it to anyone, it was fun and I enjoyed my first time kayaking.

Great service, loved paddle boarding here, not the best water but the owner was lovely and for that I support her small business. Equipment was solid and parking was easy/free.

Had a great experience renting kayaks today with my family! Michelle was super helpful and accommodating and prices are very reasonable at $25 the first hour for a single kayak and $10 extra for each additional hour. Staff were all practicing social distancing, wearing masks and sanitizing gear, given the Covid-19 pandemic. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

There's no better place to go for a fun day out on the water. Outstanding customer service, great pricing, and a passion for making your experience fun and special. Also, ample parking and clean bathrooms on site. Been coming for years and wouldn't choose anywhere else!

My friends and I came here today for the first time. We called ahead to clarify some information, such as reservations and pricing, and Michelle was beyond accommodating. She reserved our kayaks for us, and when we arrived we were greeted by a whole family of friendly people who were so down to earth and cool!

We got 2 double kayaks and 1 single. The single kayak is $20 per person an hour and the double is $35 per hour, split amongst two people if that's how you'd be dividing it up.

I've never really kayaked before...but luckily my kayak partner was somewhat familiar with how to rotate and steer the kayaks. And if you have not a clue how to do it, they will instruct you on how to before you go out in the water.

Anyhow, parking is widely available, and they provide you with a life vest and a waterproof Baggie thing (don't know how else to explain it) to put phones, etc. in so our belongings didn't get wet.

I would highly recommend this place to those who enjoy a bit of exercising, enjoy the beautiful bay and enjoy nice business owners!

Lastly---when you go out into the water out of the canal area, they have not only moving boats and jet skis, but they have stationed boats that are just anchored down in the water for scenery purposes! Excellent time today and fun to go with a group of friends or even with just one other person!
