We decided to take the plunge and purchase an upgrade to our vintage golf cart. Spencer Smith provided us with several options. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable, personable, and helpful in making our decision. He kept us apprised throughout the entire sales/delivery process and met all timelines! He personally delivered our cart and answered all our questions. The entire process was simple and seamless.

If you need sales or service for your cart, I highly recommend Spencer and his skilled staff.

Recently had 2 separate repairs to my 21 year old Club Car. Full set of batteries replaced. Came to my house to do the job, Convenient! 2nd job was to replace bushings in suspension system and install headlights & tail lights. Had the golf cart transported to the shop for that job.

The workmanship was excellent both times. The communication with staff was always informative and cheerful.

Downside? The business is basically a monopoly in the north bay. So they are extremely busy. My cart was in the shop over 3 weeks for the second job. Frustrating as the original estimate was the job would take one week.

Price for the second job was also way more than originally verbally quoted. They did not provide a written quote before the job. Next time i will demand one.

None the less with the good quality work, nice folks and this being the only place north of the GG bridge for golf cart service I'll bite my tongue and admit that Smith's deserves a 4 star rating.

PLEASE HEED MY WARNING. I am a 82 yr old women with Parkinson's. I use my 2020 Valor golf cart to go up and down my driveway to my guest house and to take the trash down the hill, Not for Golf. Right now my cart is stuck down the hill loaded with trash to take down. For the past 2 or 3 yrs I have continually told Spencer Smith about the ignition that does not turn on, I tried it just now 15 times, all I get is a beeping noise. This has gone on for years now with my complaints and now the safety break does not hold either. I spent recently 300. for a going over and servicing, and to take care of this constant problem, they keep saying nothing is wrong. It is out of warranty in Nov and I want to drive this thing off into the dump. I paid 8k cash for this machine and recently called the company who makes it, they sent him an email and still NO response from Smith. I would never have anything to do with this company, bad customer service I have never experience before. So please before you buy anything from Smith's, go to a company that will stand by their product, they do NOT.

Great knowledge, resource and value -- thank you, Spencer and team. I came in with little knowledge on Golf Carts specifically, needing parts and guidance. They offered both and I went from a 200$ piece of crap to an attractive and extremely useful ranch vehicle in a month with a little elbow grease thrown in. "Green" doesn't have to mean new

All I can say is that the owner of Smith's Golf Cars is one of the classiest, most kind, incredibly educated, very personable, sales oriented individuals I have ever done business with.  I went into Smith's Golf Cars to ask about a used one that I was going to purchase from a private party( probably not the classiest thing on my part to do,  but I needed education).  Spencer, the owner of Smiths, focused on what I was trying to do and gave me as much education as he could so I knew what I was buying.  Spencer didn't try to sell me any of his new or used inventory. He was completely classy and very professional.   After I went to see the used one from a private party, I realized I would be making a mistake by not purchasing one from a professional place like Smith's Golf Cars.   When I returned a few days later, I was privileged enough to meet one of the main mechanics, Sal who was refurbishing a used Club Car.  I couldn't believe how beautiful the new body kit looked and seat covers along with new batteries etc.  I was incredibly excited to purchase that exact one he was working on.  I was expecting to clearly pay way more than what I was seeing on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.  But instead it was cheaper with mass new components.  What an amazing experience .  The part I left out was this golf cart was a gift from me to my children on Christmas to enjoy when we are camping.   My children after opening their Christmas  presents all of a sudden heard loud music from the kitchen. They got up and went in and looked out the window.  We wrapped a huge Blue bow around it and they began  jumping up and down.  They spent the rest of Christmas day driving it around the neighborhood.  What a special company Spencer and his family owns.  I 100% recommend Spencer Golf Cars to anyone looking for new and used Golf Cars. And thank you Spencer and Sal for making this one of the most special Christmas's we have ever had. Claudine Cuneo

The company I work for has a golf cart that they purchased used from Smith's Golf Cars many years ago. They have maintained a service contract with them ever since then. My company has never had any problem with Smith's, and will continue to do service with them in the foreseeable future.

This review, however, is of a personal nature. I recently had an accident with said golf cart; one that, while very minor, was not something that needed to be officially recorded on our company records. Being technically inclined, I was able to determine which two parts I had busted, so I removed them and brought them in to Smith's Golf Cars, hoping to get replacements so I could repair the cart on my own dime and time (and, you know, under the radar).

Understand, I needed to fix this cart ASAP. I was expecting it to be like a car part place where they would spend 15 minutes in the back, only to come out and tell me "We'll have to order these parts, and it will take 2-3 weeks."

Smith's Golf Cars not only had the parts I needed IN STOCK, but the man behind the counter (Jay) was incredibly knowledgeable, and seemed very motivated to help me regardless of the circumstances.

Very simply put, I could not have done this repair without Smith's Golf Cars being so local and accessible, and I could never have done it if it were a case of me wading though parts catalogs to find the ones I needed. Jay knew EXACTLY the parts I was looking for, and came back in less than 5 minutes with them.

I know they're really the only golf cart repair shop in the area, so we don't really have any choice of where to go, but that just makes my experience more pleasing; they could easily have been jerks, and it wouldn't matter, because you'd still be forced to visit them. It's a testament to their customer service skills that they're NOT jerks, overcharging you for parts because they know they're the only gig in town.

Today, I am extremely appreciative of Smith's Golf Cars, and their employees. More companies should behave like they do.

(Also, if you're looking for a seriously kick-ass golf cart, come see them. They have a very nice selection of carts, many of which are drool-worthy).

We purchased a used golf cart and was treated terrific from the beginning to the end of the process. We found that Smith's was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions before the sale. We love our cart and highly recommend them.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have found Rich at Smith's Golf Cars. His customer service is top notch- among the best I've ever experienced. I was looking for a 4WD golf cart/utility/low speed vehicle and after looking at some options online (all with weak customer service reviews) I realized that I'd be better off building a relationship with someone who could deliver it and help me out down the road if the vehicle needed any servicing or modifications. Rich has just been the best. For not too much more than I would have spent online for something used, I got a brand new vehicle with better power for my needs rather than settling for something used. Rich delivered it himself and taught me the ins and outs of running and maintaining it. Then after I had it for about a week, I decided to add a few modifications and Rich was more than willing to accommodate me. Rich is a good guy running a second generation family business and I would recommend him and his business highly. I am not the type of person that writes reviews usually, but these guys went above and beyond and deserve it. Do not hesitate to work with them.

Overall, unprofessional and upsetting. I really was shocked at the poor level of customer service here. I give it 2 stars because one of the employees was really cool and obviously passionate about golf carts and modifying golf carts to make them really exciting. The shop manager was incapable and seemed like he had no idea what was going on. I was really disappointed that these guys were so disorganized and on a different planet because I live right next to them and it would of been cool to have developed a relationship to service my electric vehicles, but I really cant see this happening in the future due to the unprofessional attitude this shop radiates, and the lack of communication(due to a lack of intellect and basic understanding of the english language). I would avoid this place, unless you have no other option, and even then you are probably better off fixing the problem yourself. These guys will waste your time, and jerk you around, really its that bad. There IS at least one good worker there, none the less, so maybe there is hope. It was a bad experiance overall, and I am advising other yelpers to avoid this place unless you really, really have no other options.
