Great parking in order to attend the Alcatraz day tour, not to far from departing dock. Price was fair for full day parking, especially since I didn't have to walk far.

Gayle and I drove into the City yesterday for our Pier 33 launch to Alcatraz. As we got closer to Fisherman's Wharf, parking rates ranged from $20 - $30 and there was no way that I was going to play the parking meter game. However, back toward the Ferry Building, Pier 27 (near Teatro ZinZanni), parking was only $10 (weekend rate). And considering that we had 5 people in the car, this was cheaper than taking BART (bridge toll and gasoline) included.

We were there early enough to find a convenient parking space. Our only complication was getting out later in the day is hard due to pedestrian traffic along the Embarcadero and a stop light sequence that is confusing at best. The folks running this lot might want to consider hiring a person to run traffic interference here.

DO NOT PARK HERE! It's all I'm gonna say. Rates are ridiculous and most restaurants don't validate you parking long enough for you to enjoy the pier area. I parked here one time and my car was damaged by the valet service. The attendants, supervisor and eventually the owner and their insurance company took no responsibility for it. The whole experience pissed me off so much that I was even gonna take them to court but at the end I just didn't have the time to deal with that kind of crap.

DON'T PARK HERE! First of all their signs are false advertisement. Second the manager in charger, BEN, is useless and can't help you. All he says "call the number by the machine." Third, if you call the number they never answer and won't reply.
