We were there in February and bought at the door without any problem. After you buy everyone is made to wait at the bar area so it didnt seem to matter for seating if you arrived early or not. Also, check groupon and look for online codes. We got a… more

Had a great time on a Saturday evening at this comedy club! Comedians were great and would have gave 5 stars, however...
1) We were disappointed that there was no food available and when we arrived and inquired, the hostess said we can order Uber Eats. Unfortunately, there is no cell service, WiFi, or any coverage to be able to order.
2) In addition, they were sold out of a number of the drinks. It seemed that everything we tried to order the bar was out of.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 1, 2023
We saw Daniel Weingarten Saturday night in this small intimate club on 78th street off Broadway. Typical cramped room small tables and wooden chairs not making for comfortable evening. Servers came around right away and we ordered Berry Seinfeld and the Tracy. Tracy was a rum drink and you tasted the alcohol so no complaints. *** If you check in on Yelp you get a free house shot which was vodka peach schnapps and some juice, also not bad. Ticket prices were reasonable and they have an $18 drink minimum. All drinks are $16 and under so you need to buy at least two.
The show itself was very good and the headliner hung out after so we had a photo opportunity and a nice chat. I would definitely go back to see another comedian.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Summer R.New York, NY0307Mar 19, 2023
I love this venue because it's an intimate setting, so every seat is a great seat and you can see and hear well. The talent that they bring is hilarious. I've seen some of the funniest comedians perform here, most of whom I had never heard of until that night!
The drinks are decent and high, but reasonably, priced for a comedy club. I've been to dozens and dozens of shows here over the years. Occasionally the shows run long and very late. At the last one I went to see, the previous show was running behind so we had to wait almost an hour to be let into our show we had tickets for, so we were a little annoyed by that and pretty tired by the end of the show, but the laughs were well worth the wait!! The show was fantastic.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William K.Manhattan, New York, NY02Nov 23, 2023

Came here with a friend who knew one of the comedians for a weeknight show. The comedians were pretty good, some better than others of course. I thought the MC was really good at introducing the comics and funny too. The sets were pretty short, about 10 minutes per comic so that was surprising.
The reason I gave it lower stars is because of the drink situation. They require an $18 drink minimum. Most places it is just a 2 drink minimum and you can get whatever you want. I understand the need to make money, but if you are already paying to attend the show and then have to spend an extra 18 per person, that can get very expensive. Plus, if you don't want alcohol for whatever reason, you would have to get at least 3 non-alcoholic drinks to reach the minimum, which is a lot of liquid to get through!
Don't miss the free check-in through yelp though - free shots!Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 2 - James M.Whitehouse Station, Readington Township, NJ15912428Jan 10, 2023
Stand up NY is one of the premier clubs in NYC. They combine the beat up and coming comedians with house hold names.

This place is five star for the entertainment... The comedians are top-notch, especially the headliner.
I took away STARZ only for the small space and lack of access to the bathrooms. We sat on the far end of the tiny room. Once the opener came on, we were stuck in a corner against the wall, through all six comedians, with no way to get to the bathroom for hours! (with out making entire tables of people get up to let us by... Which we refuse to do.)
THE DEAL: sit towards the middle of the room,
Or on the side with the bathrooms... The comedians are totally worth the Price of admission!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Alex S.New York, NY0171Nov 26, 2022
Had a great time here with my aunt from out of town. We showed up last minute on Friday night and just barely got tickets, house was sold out otherwise. Friendly, intimate, well organized space. Great line up, show was long (almost two hours) with lots of great comedians. Drinks were on the weaker side, which tbh is preferable for a comedy club, taste was good for a kinda divey bar. House was packed but didn't feel cramped. Good sound, lighting, seating, atmosphere.
