Incredible moving company. I used this company for services to pack up from my Arizona property to California Bay Area property. All parties including customer service, setup contracts, movers in AZ, delivery team in CA and closing team were extremely responsive, organized and a great price. Everything arrived as intended with no issues. They communicated everything clearly and made sure all valuables were handled with care. I will definitely be using this service again for future needs.

I used State 2 State to move my stuff from CA to TX and the drivers arrived will 75% of my things and almost handed me other people's items. One of the drivers also tried to charge me an extra $400 for bringing my sofa up to my apartment. That same worker kept complaining and making excuses about how he was tired. I'm still waiting on them to find my things and getting paid out for my things that were lost. They lost $3000 worth of my stuff. Find a better company don't use these Mfs

The reviews don't lie. This is a professional group that takes moving your household goods and vehicle seriously. I moved my family and Tesla from San Francisco to the Midwest. From the move consultant (Joseph was super professional -he's been with the company 5+ years for a reason) to the movers themselves (they unpacked two trucks, piano included for our family of five in 4 1/2 hours - not a ding on a wall in our new home), everyone was thorough and top notch. We had a delay with the vehicle move which I've heard happens - that said, Vlad (driver of the car transport) kept in communication via text and even adjusted his drop-off to accommodate a better drop off location for us.

I had 5 quotes for moves and state2state was actually at the top in terms of price - but it was worth the premium, working with this solid team. My advice when booking a moving company - scour the web for reviews, find out how long the employees (and movers themselves!) have been working for the company and then book with confidence.

I called to schedule a quote and two weeks later, no return call. Called today and got told same thing I got told the last time about getting a return call by the next day -- not good enough! Clearly, they don't need our patronage.

Will find another mover even if we have to use a pod company!

After scouring the internet for cross-country movers for both my household and car, I thought I had hit the jackpot with State to State moving. Of all the companies I had researched this one had the best reviews for both moving household items and transporting a car. This was my first time moving across country (Philadelphia - San Francisco), and I was honestly horrified by some of the reviews I had read regarding other companies about damages to items, extra charges, etc.

So after reading the reviews for State to State moving I was ready to book my move for both my household items and car. The sales agent I ended up working with (Ben) was great. Honestly, my experience with him from the beginning is the reason for the two stars I at least gave this company. He answered all my questions, and quickly followed up with all my calls/emails.

Ultimately, I decided to only book a car transport because the insurance plan I had received from a different company covered a larger claim of damages with no deductible, but I was still happy with my choice to transport my car with State to State. Besides the great reviews I was also happy to know that this company was a major carrier and wasn't just a brokerage company like many of the other moving companies. It was important to me to know who was handling my move from beginning to end.

Unfortunately though, anything good I have to say about this company ends after officially booking. First off, my car was not picked up during the 3 day window I had set up with Ben, and when I called to follow up I was repeatedly given the excuse that they were unable to contact the driver. For one, it was definitely worrisome to know that the driver responsible for transporting my car could not be contacted, but even more so they had already charged me for the move, which in my opinion means that the company is guaranteeing that the service will be completed during the agreed upon time period. Further, as I attempted to figure out the situation I had difficulty getting concrete answers from the people I spoke to, and unfortunately never heard back from Ben again after trying to fix the issues with him,

Ultimately my car was picked up 2 days after the agreed upon 3 day window, and to make matters worse my move was brokeraged out to a different company. To be honest, I had hesitations having the driver pick up my car after realizing that a different company was completing my transport, but I was put in a situation where I had no choice. I was flying out to SF the next day and needed my car to be picked up/transported that day.

Thankfully, my car did arrive on the scheduled date without any damages, but unfortunately I still ended up having issues with the claims department after.

Amy who worked on my claim was very responsive and helpful (again she is responsible for the stars I did give). But ultimately for all the hassle I had to go through, and the uncomfortable situation I was put in with my move I was only offered $10 a day for the late pick up. After discussing all my issues with Amy she was able to get me and additional $50, but I still feel like this was not substantial considering all the issues I had to deal with.

I picked this company hoping that I would have a hassle free move with a company I could trust, but in the end this was not the case. And to make matters worse they seemed to not care to reimburse me for all the issues. Transporting a car is not cheap and not a choice taken lightly, so my advice is to choose another company in the end.

I'm going to be brief but I am a strong believer in giving merit where merit is due.

I recently purchased my dream car - a '1965, 289 V8 Mustang Convertible as a restoration project car which will be garaged in my vacation home in Santa Fe, NM. The car was purchased from a Berkeley, CA owner and unfortunately was not fit for the drive to NM so I had to transport it there.

I spoke with a few Auto Transport companies - all of which left me UNDERWHELMED but my mechanic referred me to State 2 State so I gave them a call.

From the moment I spoke with David at State 2 State Auto Transport. I knew I was in the right hands. He was able to answer ALL my questions and by far was the most professional person I had spoken with. He gave me a quote, emailed me over an agreement which I signed and sent back the same day. 3 days later my car was picked up in Berkeley and was delivered to my house in Santa Fe a few days after that - WITHOUT A HITCH AND TROUBLE FREE.

You may be able to find a cheaper transport company but never forget: You get what you pay for.

I shipped my car and house hold goods through state to state. From Florida to California, They are great! I got my car around 1 weeks later and house gold goods around 3 weeks later, their staffs are always helpful and kind for answering. I have a computer and a lot of cooking wares, they were delivered without any damages. I will recommend that to all of people who would like to do long distance moving and shipping car. These people are crooks, once they have your deposit they more then double the quote for adding a few items to the inventory. Then threaten you to pay now or lose your deposit. Avoid this company if you want to save money. This is a SCAM all the way.

I never imagined my 3000-mile move from the East Coast, MA to the West Coast, CA would be that easy. I started with a simple phone call with Dylan Jacobs to get an estimate. Dylan has been very courteous and taken his time to answer all my questions about various options of shipping both household items and car. Once committed, he has become my personal "conseier" sending documents, arranging pick-up/drop-off notices, and communicating with actual movers. On the pick-up day, the movers packed all my items with care (Saran wrapping followed by covering with blankets) and labeled and itemized them with pre-printed labels.
They were so efficient that my shipments arrived in CA before my APT was ready but Dylan made sure the items are stored and delivered safe and sound on my move-in day. I was very happy to find such a rare company as State 2 State with their professionalism and the extremely high quality of customer service. I strongly recommend the company and especially, Dylan as your go-to-person. Thank you very much.
