Good old 'Stoner' town. As I visited other, more modern malls, I see that Stonestown is somewhat limited by comparison. However, for San Francisco, it's the best that we have, especially since a lot of the Downtown shopping stores have closed up. You got movie theaters, grocery stores, dining, and retail.
Besides the standard Target and Trader Joe's, there's an Apple Store and a Daiso. Good service and deals to be had (the value proposition is definitely here). Very chill mall, come on in, the water's fine :-)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Daniel C.SoMa, San Francisco, CA01477Apr 10, 2024Updated review
What do I have to say I mean there is a reason I'm writing this review. There is this security guard named Kiel Lopez and one day I went with my girlfriend to get some bubble tea and he started following us everywhere we went in the mall.
Description is that he has a long white beard. He is next to the white car. Stay away from him he is so rude.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1Oct 13, 2023Previous reviewThis mall is a disaster. The security are rude while I was with my girlfriend and we walked around the the mall and we had a horrible experience.

Very dirty parking lot, how about someone going around picking up the trash and here's a novel idea! Put more garbage cans around the lot

Salutations, the shopping mall I grew up with. My home town neighborhood place to hang, Stonestown, all Brookfield-ised and keeping supreme on all the trends. Yup you can buy Supreme brand accessories and stuff at one of the shops within. When I heard that both Macy's and Nordstrom finally exited the anchor positions, several years ago, I knew an era had truly ended.
'Tis bittersweet somewhat, for Stonestown. The online clothing industry, disposable fashion and Amazon all combined, semi-conspired, and joining forces, permanently lopped the arms, legs -- and probably more -- off department stores of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Stonestown's food court is bigger than ever, spilling beyond the original court itself into adjacent spaces on the upper level. The galleria is packed to the hilt with many more far east cuisine franchises than I ever remember from decades past. Taiwan street snacks, sweets dessert matcha, revolving sushi resto, fancy cheesecake and cloud pancake vendors, Filipino mex kiosk..... the only OG still here is Panda Express. I do have to pour one out for Hot Dog On A Stick; that was my ultimate fav stand here, way back in the day. A fancy Asian savoury hot dog has taken over the counter.
Who knew the shopping mall could be so introspect and aspirational. Quotes on wall at the Cinema entrance inside tell all to: embrace the things that scare you, to never fear the unknown, even strangers can end up becoming the best of friends.
Who knows how long an American shopping mall like this will be around. It's sort of an existential dilemma in this age. But for my sake and my lifetime, I'm pleased that Stonestown was always there for me from my formative years through young adulthood, and continues to be here for all the patrons and San Francisco residents.Helpful 17Thanks 7Love this 20Oh no 2 - Katrina M.Terrace, Rialto, CA313627Aug 24, 20241 check-in
Always busy but still has always been easy to find parking. Never had issues with anything really here. Not the biggest mall but has a good variety of shops.

Stonestown is a COOL place to shop! Especially the two convenience stores such as the Target & Whole Foods store. Good diversity. AWESOME!

A cool place in SFO. A one stop shop place. It's complete... Whole Foods, numerous restaurants nearby, a movie theater ( with the best luxury seats I must say ) and even places to buy clothes!!! I surely enjoyed the day at the galleria with my daughter.

I'm happy to see Stonestown thriving again. I grew up when Amazon wasn't a thing and the mall would be the place to buy stuff and hangout. The anchor stores are no longer Macy's and Nordstrom's but Whole Foods and Regal Cinema are just fine in my book. Plenty of food options now and even the food court has substantially changed for the best now. There's even a Target where Borders bookstore used to be. Plus there's free electric vehicle charging spots if you happen to drive one. Easily accessible by public transportation too.

We haven't been back for over 10 years and Stonestown has gotten so much fancier. We enjoyed the food options and all the new stores. Had a good time window shopping with the family.

This is specifically for the Xfinity store. I figured, if more than one customer complains maybe Stonestown will kick this store out.
Trying to get ahold of a live customer service representative. One of the workers belittled my mother and got in her face. Reported to the store manager and he leaned back in the chair with his hands folded and unapologetically said he can't speak for his employees actions.
The store manager Edwin did not try to understand. If you could replay the videos, you will see both the employees actions and the actions of the manager were unacceptable and unprofessional.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
