Solid mexican on Fillmore. The chips are great, a little too much guac on the tacos, (i am picky about too much guac) but fresh food and good for a mexican fix. I like the quick-service concept and location, Fillmore needs a mexican joint other than the chain that preceded Tacobar.

Fresh and delicious!! Add sour cream and make that a super burrito SALSA is very tasty and it looks freshly made. In town for a month and this spot was right down the street. Perfect vegetarian option.

Solid effort, but not outstanding.
I found the food to be a tad spicy, but that could just be me as I don't like a lot of spice.
Service was very good indeed. The restaurant is clean and tables are bussed quickly and hygienically.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 4, 2024
I've had three items from this taco location and it tends to be hit or miss.
The fish burrito is EXCELLENT. It is a generous portion, with perfectly cooked fish and amazing flavor.
I next got the Chilaquiles and the portion was smaller, but still pretty good. The chilaquiles rojas however was missing a little bit of flavor, and although I added on black beans, this was not included in my to go order.
Last, I have gotten the quesabirria and the dish was extremely disappointing. The stew was oily and flavorless, and the birria itself was lacking flavor most likely because it was not marinating or slow cooked for a long period of time. I would recommend then having the quesabirria as a weekly option and spend the time to craft the dish. There were no onions or cilantro in the quesabirria that I believe to be quintessential to a flavorful dish.
This place can also be a little bit pricy, which I don't mind for the fish burrito due to the portion. However, $16 for bland quesabirria is something I will not invest in again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jon L.Civic Center, San Francisco, CA02Mar 13, 2024

Quick and easy whilst in the area. Fish taco was good but a little underwhelming and expensive for what it is. Not a bad place if passing by.

Came here today with the wife for lunch after she finished some shopping nearby. I opted for a Baja Burrito, which consisted of generous portions of fried cod, mixed in with salad slaw. It was quite delicious, although I definitely would have enjoyed it even more had they used rice instead of slaw. The wife ordered the Veracruz Fish Bowl which she said she wasn't a fan of. Although there was generous portions of fresh fish, the rest of the bowl was just massive portions of slaw, drenched in far too much salsa.
They offer indoor and outdoor dining options. This place gets busy pretty fast as well. When we first arrived, there was only 1 other couple in the entire restaurant dining in. But once I stepped up to order, a massive line suddenly queued up behind me out of nowhere, and the entire place filled up. They appear to get waves of people throughout the day. Service was pretty friendly.Helpful 35Thanks 7Love this 29Oh no 0 - Apr 25, 2023
I cannot recommend this place. I ordered 2 tacos (they are small, but each comes with 2 corn tortillas, so you can really make 2 tacos out of one taco.)
I ordered one of each of the specials that were on the board outside. A lamb one and a pork one that was advertised to include pineapple. They were about $6 each! the pork and pineapple one had exactly ONE piece of pineapple (about the size of a pencil erasure - see photo).
It took about 15 mins to get our food - and others that ordered after us, got their food first - which was just annoying. And they had ordered things that were grilled, I assume burritos and tacos are sorta made from a buffet of cooked items behind the counter line...so why did our take longer than grilled items?
Also the counters you eat on could all be a bit cleaner. When you want water to drink - they have it behind the counter and it is room temp. Can't you just have an ice water station like other fast casual places?
My hubs got a shrimp burrito he said was "pretty good" - but I didn't try it. there are WAY better places in the city, unless you are desperate - avoid this place.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 2 - May 13, 20231 check-in
Love the bright yellow cafe tables and people watching on the corner of California & Fillmore. The staff are friendly, service is good, the place is clean. I've only ordered burritos here, and consider them adequate. To me rice is a bland, starchy filler. The added avocado helps, so does the salsa on the side. I'd come here again while shopping as it seems to fill the need for a quick meal without sitting down at a fancy restaurant.
The menu has a lot of options, and they have those yummy fruit drinks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 4, 2023
Came here about an hour before they were supposed to close and got two tacos (Al Pastor & Lamb) to go.
Ambiance is really cute and colorful. There's a bunch of different kinds of seating inside and there's also outside seating.
Both tacos came in this really interesting to go container that kept the tacos folded. I wish I took a picture of it but I thought that was a very interesting to go container.
Both tacos were really delicious. It was flavorful and none of the meat was dry (which I feel can sometimes happen when you cook things in batches). Would be interested in trying some of the other tacos and their burritos.
I think they do a lot of pickup and to go so service was definitely not as quick as I expected (seeing as I didn't know how many people were in front of me). Overall it's a nice casual place to go when you're looking for tacos.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kimberly A.San Francisco, CA0311Jun 20, 2023
I ordered Shrimp Bowl (regular) and it was just cabbage slaw and 6 pieces of shrimp ...
I payed 15 dollars for cabbage. As I asked the man to not put rice in my bowl he told me it had the cabbage slaw but he didn't specify that it would be the only thing I was getting...Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1
