Food is served warm and fresh. Service was fast and friendly. Place has that
Minimalistic feel. Visited this place with some relatives from Coquitlam. Will definitely come back. Dish is usually served in a bowl, loved the touch served on a plate.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tina M.Langley City, Canada31Jul 30, 2023

Pretty good, just like the Katsu I had in Japan only way larger. Food was good the salad was a good size.
Parking is a bit of an issue but go down a block and you'll have no problem.
The restaurant is fairly new I think. I would go again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John W.Surrey, Canada0424Sep 30, 2023
Very affordable with entrees offerings. Had the cheese and pork katsu and was amazing. Good spot!

This place reminded us a lot of Katsuya in Coquitlam but unlike Katsuya, there are no peanuts on any of their menu items. We got the Hire Katsu and Soba Combo. The katsu was fried well and just the right amount of breading. In particular, I liked their cold soba noodles which were very refreshing despite the fact that it was a cold day. Their tables are very well spaced out for covid. All their employees were wearing masks and for the most part left us to dine on our own. We felt very safe dining here and would definitely return.

I am very happy to find another katsu restaurant on the other side of the Port Mann. This one is also Korean owned like Mr Tonkatsu. We ordered the soba combo ($15) and cheese katsu ($13.50).
The restaurant was busy so it took awhile for the food to arrive and staff forgot to refill our water cups after we asked. I really enjoyed my cheese katsu order! It had more than enough cheese to enjoy with the pork, salad and rice. Cutlet was fried nicely and stayed crispy until the last bite. Soup was a clear broth with slices of fried tofu and green onions. Pickled radish was a good palate cleanser from the fried food. The dipping sauce had a bit of wasabi you can mix in to make the dipping sauce spicy. Salad dressing was on the side so you can adjust to your preferences. I tried a bit of the cold soba dish and it was good. Green onions and wasabi were separated from the soba so you can adjust to your preferences accordingly as well.
Parking in the area can be a bit challenging. If you are willing to walk a couple blocks after parking, then it is alright. The prices are a bit cheaper than Mr Tonkatsu, but you do not get any refill on soup, salad or rice. Also, you cannot just add a soba dish to any katsu order so Mr Tonkatsu has a bit more flexibility ordering off their menu. Lastly, no grinding up sesame seeds for your dipping sauce as part of the experience. Overall, I think this restaurant is a great addition to the Langley food scene and will be back when I am in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christy C.Surrey, Canada41144Apr 19, 2019
This is a fairly new restaurant in Langley.
We got three different kinds of cutlet to try. Each one came with a side of rice, salad, and soup.
* Rosu
* Hire
* Cheese
My favourite was the Rosu; however, I would have liked it more if the cutlets were thicker. That way it would have been juicier.
The hire has a deeper pork flavour. It's tougher compared to the Rosu.
The cheese was filling. It was fun to pull, but I probably wouldn't order it a second time.
Overall, it's not bad. Pretty good for its price. At this point, I think I would prefer Saku over this place, but keep in mind that they're still new. I would give them time to get better.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
