Someone else said it, but it's true, this is a sac town staple. It's right on R which is a nice area with a ton of other options, but you should stop here.
They have fun, unique drinks and great food! I got their Caesar salad which is huge! I added steak and it was nice and tender. You could definitely share this with a big group. The service is always great, even when they're busy.
Always recommend this place when I have friends come into town! Also a great space to stop before going to a concert at Ace of Spades!

      Great music.

      Unique drinks.

      Fast service - not overbearing.

      Clean bathrooms.

      Reasonable prices.

Only negative is that sticky floor.

What more can you ask for?

      This is a Sac-town staple.

Enjoy this gorgeous speak-easy with its beautiful ceiling, 'vintage' flapper portraits, and clean, big booths.

We came to The Shady Lady Saloon last night for some dinner before a concert. I've been to The Shady Lady for drinks, but never the food so I was excited to finally check it out!

We ordered the Pulled Pork Corn Crepes, Duck Confit Tots, Jambalaya Croquettes and the Shrimp Po Boy Sliders. I was a big of the Shrimp Po Boy Sliders (and the fries that came with them), but everything else was okay - I liked different things from each dish, but nothing wowed me. If you like heat though, definitely check out the Jambalaya Croquettes! So spicy!

The decor at The Shady Lady is also what makes it unique! With the paintings, red sofa and mood lighting - it's definitely a vibe! It's a great place to have a drink - I recommend the Red Daisy especially if you like tequila!

Our server was great and worked his butt off even though it got very busy towards the end. We appreciated that our glasses were never empty!

The have a brunch menu that I will definitely be checking out very soon!

We came here after IHT on our holiday bar crawl with my Yelp buds . The place was packed but we were in luck because a booth opened up when we walked in .
This was my first time here . I had a hard time deciding what drink to get as their menu is quite big but it's categorized by alcohol so it's easy to choose . I ordered the Dark Web, which uses tequila and it was tasty . My friends had Rusty Spoon, Gin Daisy, Greyhound, and Old Fashioned. We all sampled each other's drinks and my favorite was the Rusty Spoon, it is one I want to have again .
We also ordered food for us to nibble on. We had the fried Mac n Cheese bites, fries, grilled cheese, country biscuit appetizer and grilled cheese and tomato soup for Kerensa, who had just gotten off work and she was starving . Everything was delicious!
We also did two rounds of Tito's shots for everyone ! I want to thank Diego our server/bartender who gave us exceptional service . Also to my generous hubby for paying the tab and treating my friends for XMas! Merry Christmas and cheers y'all!

      Food: 3/5
      Service: 3/5
      Ambiance: 4/5
      Overall: Food was standard fare

      The extended review...

      Food:

Beignets - 3/5 - Pretty standard fare. Definitely not as airy as they should be.

Duck Tots - 3/5 - I was looking for this to have more of the duck flavor in it.

      Service: 3/5 - Standard service.

Ambiance: 4/5 - They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor is definitely more done up and quite interesting. Not quite what I picture a saloon to be but I did like it.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday a few weeks back and service was really slow even though the place was nearly empty.

The interior is really moody with deep U shaped booths and lots of red drapes on the walls with a big bar in the middle. I've been here before when it was really busy, I was surprised to see it dead on a Sunday.

The food was ok, but the burger was overcooked and we didn't get checked out after our food came to see if we were happy.

I got the Flat Iron Steak Salad, it was excellent. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare. I am a dressing control-freak so I got it on the side. It was a strawberry vinaigrette (yum).

My friend got the Shady Lady Burger, ordered medium rare but it was well-done. He barely ate it but no one came back to check on us so we called it a loss. My other friend got the Betty's Chilaquiles and said they were good.

      Drinks:
Mimosa - my friend said it wasn't good.
Delta Breeze - friend liked it.
Manhattan - a classic, very good.

Had to go to the bar to request the check as we were done dining for some time. Also had to bring the check back to have our card run. Wish the service had been more attentive, probably a green staff. Not sure if I will be back.

Happy Hour at Shady Lady is always a chill and relaxing vibe. Great drink specials and food, the garlic fries were $5! Can't beat that and it was perfect! We were bar hoping and added Shady Lady to the stop. Austin was our server and he was amazing and energetic. Also, made recommendations for drinks to try! Can't beat that! Check them out for Happy Hour!

      Loooovvveeedddd this bar!

This was our last pit stop before heading to a show next door at Ace of Spades. This place is dimly lit, the bar is big, but cozy, and there's some interesting artwork on the walls... it's bewbs. We just had a few vod sods here, but they do have a great looking cocktail menu and a delicious looking late night menu. The bartender told they also have Sunday brunch specials.

There is an outdoor front patio which is probably good for day drinking and most likely offers great people watching on R Street. There is parking right across the street, but it's a paid lot. I say, play it safe and either Uber or Lyft here.

      Party hard and party safe.

The vibe here is great, dark moody, but i love the music here! The live band is great (esp jazz).

5 stars for their old fashions (made the right way!) & minus 1 stat for their service. Service sint consistent, so i usually try to sit at the bar.
