Tony’s Refrigeration Technology

Tony is a skilled and experienced home appliance tech. He came the same day to service a Samsung French Door refrigerator constantly humming for the past 48 hours. He diagnosed the problem as icing inside the upper unit and reassured me all my electrical components were fine. Weeks earlier I had a young tech come in to examine icing in my freezer compartment and was told nothing could be done as the main circuit board was no longer available and expect the same problem in a few weeks. Tony's experience shined as he identified the problem as overtaxing my refrigeration system causing the icing behind the wall of the upper unit so the fan was constantly on. He patiently deiced the panel from the inside cabin space so the heating elements could function and with some creative problem-solving of a few drops of anti-freeze got my refrigerator working like new. All this time I was ready for hear I'd need to replace the refrigerator. Tony is an honest man, a craftsman of his work who takes pride in his work and does it with integrity. He didn't overcharge or try to replace all the internals. I'd call him back in a heat beat and highly recommend him.

Our walk-in freezer broke down around midnight. Tony was the first/only person to call us back. Tony was at our establishment within the 30 minutes. He was able to get the freezer up and running again within hours. His price was fair and I highly recommend him. Thanks Tony!!!

We contacted Tony when our furnace stopped turning on. Generally, I prefer to work with an individual or small company over larger companies where you are going to talk to a dispatcher and who will not give you a quote for basic work over phone or email. Tony got back to me right away, had a very straightforward quote for hourly labor and parts, and was able to come out the same afternoon. He diagnosed our problem right away (a bad exhaust motor) and since I'm handy offered to just show me which part I need to order if I wanted to do the repair myself. I'm very short of time right now, so instead we scheduled to have him come back two days later after he'd sourced the part (with minimal markup) and from there it was a quick repair. I found Tony to be fair, honest, prompt, and trustworthy, and will reach out to him first for any future furnace or refrigeration issues we have.

Our commercial refrigerator apparently had a "bad" evaporator coil from a diagnosed by a different refrigerator repair company. It was impossible to find the needed part and our original repair company said the only solution was to throw away the refrigerator! The original company did not even try to find the problem and put in minimal effort to resolve my issue. They even left our refrigerator in terrible shape. Other companies I called said something similar and it was looking like I needed to replace our very expensive refrigerator.

I called Tony's Refrigeration asked them for another opinion and Tony was able to resolve our refrigerators issue right away. He spent time looking for the root cause, fixed the problem and saved our business a lot of money. For all future refrigerator issues, I'm calling Tony's Refrigeration. I would highly recommend calling Tony if you are having trouble with your commercial refrigerator and everywhere else is giving you the runaround.

Tony is the best!  He's very personable and service oriented.  What I appreciate the most, is how he explains his troubleshooting process, how things work, and what the issue is in laymans terms.

He worked on my vending machine refrigeration system. There were many issues with it and he addressed all of them.  Even when we came across roadblocks he creatively would suggest solutions.  With Tony, there was never 'it cannot be fixed'  but rather 'lets find a way to fix this'.

I was so impressed by his work that I even asked him to look over my home heater.  Which he found the issue and fixed within 15 mins.

As a woman-small business owner in Oakland I will call Tony for all of my commercial refrigeration needs. I had another person come in before Tony that was referred to me who lied and actually messed up my unit and didn't install the parts he said he bought. Tony was professional came the next day and over the weekend when the freezer was still acting up. He fixed all the issues the other guy made and even repaired my door stopper on the way out. I highly recommend Tony!

Display cooler had a bad coil evaporator. Called several places and they either didn't service it or didn't know how and some places simply charged so much it that it would have been better to just buy a new display fridge all together. Called this place and they new what part to get right away, communicated well, and was reasonable. Also gave advice on how to maintain coolers to keep repairs and maintenance costs down. The only reason we even looked for a fridge repairman was the original person finally retired after decades of service for our business. Tony's will be our new repair and maintenance company until we retire or he does.

I could not be happier with Tony's installation of a heating system into the commercial space I just leased. He was quick to respond, always on time, accurate about the time frame, fast, extremely reasonably priced, ethical, communicated with all of my people (contractor, landlord, partner), explained things to this non-mechanically inclined person, etc etc. Super pleasant and responsive, too. I met Tony through a request for services on Yelp, and I would hire him without hesitation in the future. The only comparable experiences I have had is where I already knew the person or the person came recommended by someone close to me: I could trust him. I honestly can't say enough about what a great experience it was to work with him.
