Toscalito Tire & Service

We were in SF from the Central Valley for the day and got a notification our coolant level was dangerously low and to turn our car off immediately. We parked and noticed Toscalito was nearby so we gave them a call and let them know what was wrong, they told us to pop by and they would help us out. When we arrived, they got to us right away and gave us a bit of coolant, helping us get back home. It was so kind, so generous, and we couldn't be more appreciative. We were blown away by their friendliness and how speedy they were. Thank you so much to everyone at the shop!

I was having issues with my car and Miguel was so helpful and patient over the phone. He told me to bring it by in the morning to have it checked out.
They inspected and drove my car to be sure they got everything. They were informative and sent me a report with a breakdown. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and value of service they provided.
Everyone there is so nice and trustworthy. Highly recommend!!! I will not go anywhere else

Been going here for a couple years and they're always done great work. Apparently lots of people in the city agree, because they never have time to see me anymore and don't offer appointments. Feels like the Hunger Games each time I need an oil change.

After multiple tries this month I was told to bring my car at the end of day yesterday so they could have it first thing the next morning. Upon arrival a different guy told me there's no room and I would have to try again next week. Earlier that day the car stopped because of the delay in oil change, so time to wait.

Sad to move to a new shop, especially because this one is within walking of my home. I'll be looking for a new place until they fine a professional way to welcome repeat clients.

Had to get brakes worked on, and instead of trying to rip me off by doing other unnecessary work, they went right to the problem.

Service was outstanding, courteous, and efficient.

George was very helpful, and has wonderful customer service skills.

My earlier review was for their exceptional customer service, as is this one. A tire they repaired was losing a little air. Despite the early morning rush, they accommodated me right away, and got me on the road again.

Bought tires here .... Unfortunately..... only needed 2 so I discussed with them at the time of purchase that the old tires needed rotation. They agreed. When it was done, they did not rotate the tires as we discussed and agreed upon ...

Btw, 2 tires and alignment cost $800. Seems high, but I figured that they could get me in on the day I needed and supposedly have included protection and rotation included with the tires, and alignment is good for a year so it's not too bad ....

Couple months later, I get a flat. Despite having included protection with tire purchase, they could not fix my flat for multiple days. Went somewhere else and had it fixed in five minutes while I waited for $50. Protection is nice in theory, but if you only have 1 vehicle and a job, don't count on being able to use it here...

Came in today for what should have been a quick service - rotation and alignment. They do not offer appointments on Saturday but instead have a "first come, first serve" policy. I was first in line before they opened at 8. It took till 11:30 for something that should have taken about 45 minutes.....

I cannot see myself coming back here ever again they get a star because I can't give them less

Great service I brought my truck in for new tires, struts, and a 2" inch lift and Miguel and his team did it the same day I couldn't be more happier with the quality job they did.

I got a flat over the weekend and called Toscalito on Monday. They said they were too busy with tires coming in and no parking. No problem for me. Maybe others who are in a rush. Tuesday I asked and again busy, but they says call at noon. I brought it in and they fixed my tire and guaranteed it. $60.

I had a great experience with Toscalito Tire & Service and plan to come back here if I have any additional issues with my car. I called to get an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection and they were able to accommodate me in a timely manner. The staff was very helpful on all my questions and walked through the report. They were educated and had great customer service.

The appointment took about a hour (which was communicated).

The customer service communication needs help. I found out about Toscalito through yelp request. Yelp said I would receive an estimate within 24 hours. Three days later, I did not receive anything so I followed up. I talked with George. He said that Yelp cannot send out estimates. You have to call us.

So then I asked where about estimating my project. He did. And I asked if he could email that the estimate to me. He said no. George said I would have to write down the cost. He couldn't send the estimate out.

After much discussion, he said OK, I'll take a photo of the estimate and text it to you. What company these days can't send an estimate via email?

I decided not to work with them. Based on this experience, I was reluctant to have any work done on my car.
