After entering the line to get through security at T3 in SFO, two TSA pre-screening booths are open and my traveling companion and I walk up to the agent named "Gian" who has no line. Gian asked "how did you get here?!" in a rude tone, scolds us like children, and sends us to "Marcus" who, after Gian yells to him, also scolds us in an incredibly rude and demeaning manner. He then apologizes in a loud voice to other passengers that we "cut the line" when we ended up exactly behind the same passengers we entered the line with. Needless to say, Gian and Marcus are two of the biggest buffoons I've met, and there have been many.

Gian should prioritize working, and spend some time on fixing her grill. Marcus should get a clue before he scolds people when he is totally wrong in the first place, then maybe look into moving out of his parents basement.

Worth noting my companion and I are on the way to a funeral and this was a terrible way to start what would be an extremely challenging day.

You never wait more than ten minutes. If that isn't your idea of fun, I don't know what is.

Occasionally, they let people into this line from the regular security line. Sadly, those folks often delay this line because they take out liquids and laptops (thinking this is just another regular line). And that's when it takes you 10 minutes to clear security instead of 5 minutes.

Going thru security at the airport is not anyone's idea of fun, but the TSA at SFO's International Terminal is excellent. They're friendly, efficient, and most importantly, keep the line moving. Recently, the security line was slow simply because there were A LOT of people. The TSA agents kept the trays for shoes, coats, etc stocked. There was a guy behind me in line who seemed clueless about his laptop, but the agents were helpful. The agents do a great job in directing people. It's a thankless job, so be courteous and remember to say "thank you" to them. Basic manners.

I had an absolute nightmare going through. TSA was really rude and lines were crazy long. When you go through this give yourself THREE hours!

My husband and I had a connecting flight to SFO to Europe and we were delayed leaving our own local airport BY 2 HOURS because of delays in SF. Not the airline, not our local airport, but SF International Airport. Our plane was just sitting there, waiting for SF to get their act together! Apparently this happens every single flight that goes there as per flight attendants and is competing w LAX as the worst turn around flights, if not worse. She even recommended that if we ever have to take a connecting flight there, to take the earliest flight offered because there is less of a chance for them to screw it up! SF international airport is definitely on our list of airports to avoid. So, avoid any connecting flights to SFO because you will likely miss your final destination.

TSA precheck has been the best decision I've made. Even flying out from late afternoon when tons of people are flying I can get through the security check point in less than 10 mins. It's amazing!!!

this is a great spot to get through security especially if you are TSA Pre Check - and if you are not TSA Pre-Check I'd say get it although that means more people in the line so, uh, forget I mentioned that. I also often take the line at the International Terminal if it's short (when I come out of BART you can see if it's not long) and there's a passageway that will get you to Terminal 3 from there. If there's a big line at International outside of BART, just go here #Protip
