I needed help making my vision become reality, and the Vigorous Landscaping team did not disappoint!

Finding a reliable and trustworthy contractor is always a challenge. I had spent a couple years scoping out various landscaping companies to tackle the next phase of my project. Vigorous Landscaping was at the top of my list based on reviews, project portfolio, and style. But I chose to move forward with them because of their dedication and willingness to give me exactly what I wanted. The first phase of my project was completed by a different company that disregarded a lot of my design requests and ran with doing what they thought would be best for my space. This was not the case with the Vigorous team.

When I first met with the owner, Joel, for an initial consultation and quote, the scope of my project was much simpler and straightforward. But sometimes life throws a curveball and delays plans. Nonetheless Joel was understanding and patiently waited until I was ready. And when that time came, I decided to expand the scope of my project and opted to work with one of his designers. It was one of the best decisions I could have made. Sean too was patient and listened to every detail of what I had in mind. He took my vision and created design concepts that solidified exactly what I wanted, and was extremely helpful in making product/material/plant recommendations based on my personal lifestyle and design preferences to the best of his knowledge and expertise!

Next up was transforming the final design concept into reality. Cesar, Mario and team made the magic happen! The crew was onsite - rain or shine! They were extremely professional, demonstrated dedication and meticulous attention to detail, and tackled any obstacle or impromptu design changes thrown their way. The results speak for itself and validate the Vigorous Landscaping motto, "Quality Built Strong". It's not just another clever marketing tag line! They really do produce a quality product that's built strong AND right! I monitored every step of the process and can confirm without a doubt no corners were cut!

Ok. Where do I begin. When I first decided to start on this project, I had my concerns working with contractors. I got 4 different bids for a project I had designed by yardzen. During my meeting with Joel, we went down this rabbit hole on how he could improve the design. Long story short, Joel ended up designing the project. Working with Joel and his team was a pleasant experience. They are attentive to details. We ran into a few unforeseen issues during the project but Joel addressed those issues. When working on a project like this, I was glad I found someone who is honest and passionate.

I chose Vigorous Landscaping to do our small front yard area after admiring their Instagram for a while. Joel came out a couple of times to talk about what we wanted to do and made some really helpful suggestions. As the team was working on our yard they would identify ways that things would look better. I could tell they really know what they're doing and care about the quality of their work. I don't often write reviews but Joel and his crew at Vigorous Landscaping were great to work with and I felt compelled to write this review.

I had a big landscaping project to get done, with 5000 sqft of basically weeds and dirt that I wanted transformed into a low maintenance, usable space for entertaining. Joel and his team came in, worked with me on a design and then executed on that design beautifully.

I can't recommend this company enough. Joel is responsive and will work with you and Cesar one of his foremen is excellent. I plan on using them again for the next phase of my yard.

Joel and his team are second to none. They are true professionals and my family can't thank him enough for the wonderful job they did on our backyard. Joel listened to our vision and brought it to a reality from design to end. His attention to detail is what separates him from all the contractors we have dealt with over the years. Amazing job by Vigorous Landscaping! Joel was attentive to my needs. I told Joel everything on my wishlist when I wanted to get my backyard updated/remodeled. When I got the rendering of everything I wanted, it was amazing to see how they incorporated everything I wanted into the design! Vigorous Landscaping is exactly what our backyard needed. Before Joel and his team came into our lives, our family was stuck with a forest and an unmanageable hillside that we couldn't enjoy in our backyard. Luckily, a friend referred us to Joel and our backyard transformation that was once a dream finally turned into reality. The moment Joel and his designer conjured up an awesome 3D rendering that met all our needs and then some, we knew they were the ones to get this huge job done.

The whole crew from Vigorous was so on point with everything. They were the nicest, most helpful and attentive crew that we've had the pleasure to work with. My wife and I were extremely impressed with how fast and efficient they were, including being  meticulous and precise with their craft. The crew were always on time and never deferred from the timeline for the job. The foremen, Mario and Cesar were very easy to work and communicate despite the slight language barrier. Joel and his leads provided us great ideas on how to get around issues that we ran into and helped troubleshoot along the way, so that we didn't have to break the bank. Joel is the type of person who stands by the quality of his product and is very much a perfectionist, which we absolutely appreciated . The project turned out so amazing and our family couldn't be any happier. We are currently doing our backyard in phases and phase 1 was an absolute success. I mean look at those tiers that they created, that nice concrete basketball court and those sexy pavers and smooth retaining wall. Joel went above and beyond anything that we could have wanted in a contractor and will definitely contact him again to finish up what we started with our home. I absolutely recommend Joel and Vigorous Landscaping for any type of landscaping needs that you may have, they are the best!

Joel and team were simply outstanding from beginning to end. I engaged Joel after I had completed a landscape design and that really helped us get on same page. He immediately assessed the job and came out numerous times to ensure we were on same page. I was also doing a pool, but Joel worked very well with my pool contractor in coordinating all the steps. His responsiveness was stellar and didn't matter what time of day, he would always get back to me. He also advised what might look better and always provided options. The job ran smooth and his crew was a great group and so clean, no matter what the work was for the day. If you are looking for reliable, fair, transparent, honest and detailed, then Joel and Vigorous is your right move!!!

What can't I say about Vigorous Landscaping. They are as professional from start to finish. Joel worked well within my budget and communicated all aspects of the job. I've never experienced a contractor whose crew was here everyday from 8am till 5pm until Joel and his crew which consisted of Cesar and company did exactly that from the first day to the last. From the moment they started digging until the very last paver was sealed to perfection, they were polite, friendly and professional. Their attention to detail is unmatched. They even installed a paver basketball key and an in-ground hoop too, they do it all! Would I refer them to anyone else? Most definitely! They will be my go-to landscaping contractor always!
