Definitely the most unprofessional service I've ever had.
1. For the first appt, I booked an 8am deep cleaning; 2 maids for 4 hours. The day before I was called to confirm my 11am appt. I explained the appt was supposed to be for 8am so that they could do the walkthrough with me. They said the walkthrough could now be done over the phone and asked if it would be ok to change it to 1pm since they probably couldn't make it for 11am anyways. Ok... fine. The day of the cleaning they did not show up until 2pm and claimed they could only do 2hrs of cleaning but they would bring 3 maids. This should have been significantly cheaper than the service I wrote a cheque for, however Deanna took the 4hr cleaning cheque and never made any mention of returning or crediting the difference.
2. Since they didn't have time to complete the deep clean, Deanna recommended a 2nd appt of 3 maids for 2 hours. I agreed and once again left a cheque for the quoted amount. A team of 2 maids was sent for 2 hours of regular maintenance cleaning; once again actual service provided was not the service agreed upon, and the cheque I had left was overpayment for what I received.
3. Also on the 1st service Deanna broke a vase which she offered to replace. When I brought it up before our 2nd appt she had no recollection or record of breaking the vase. It was not expensive and I only asked for $20; she agreed but said it would have to left as cash rather than a deduction since it was a personal expense. I can't say if it was forgotten or ignored, but the $20 was not left behind.
4. Actual cleaning service is ok but quite expensive; some things are very clean, while other basic areas of the house, such as kitchen counters and floors, seem to have not been cleaned at all. On the 2nd appt, the cleaning ladies left a giant bag of garbage sitting outside my front door; that was a nice surprise!
5. I was originally quoted a 2hr minimum for regular maintenance cleaning going forward; I've now been informed that my minimum is 2.5hrs.
Conclusion:
Best case, this service is very unprofessional and unorganized. Deanna doesn't seem to have any record or recollection of any details I've discussed with her and I find I have very little confidence that the any detailed requests are going to get done. I'm also 2 for 2 in paying for services and time that I did not receive.
Unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest review I can provide.

My wife and I are more than happy with the service we've been getting from West Coast Maids and highly recommend them. We have an old house (1910s), two teenage boys, and since we run a dog walking company, always a houseful of dogs (and dog hair!)
West Coast Maids have been great at keeping the chaos in check and the place clean. They show up on time and always do a thorough job. We're especially thankful for them (on short notice) helping us get rid of the overwhelming skunk smell after one of our furry wards chased after a skunk one night.(including getting the smell out of the basement carpet!)

I had a huge issue in 2021 with this company over a receipt. I was verbally assaulted by her insulting my appearance, my age and telling me to caution myself or they would come after me. She called the RCMP and they sided with me because it was stupid for just getting a receipt... 3 years later I was contacted to be sent a receipt because it was new management. It is the same person that assaulted me so yet again she is lying to customers. She has put under new management so that you think these reviews are old management. They are not, it's still the same woman that hasn't been sending receipts to all these customers and being rude and unprofessional.
She said I was not assaulted. I consider the verbal abuse verbal assault.
I wouldn't deal with them if you don't want to be verbally abused and treated like shit.

We never Assaulted this customer
Apr 21, 2021Previous reviewThey did not show up for their first appointment as it was written in their books as the wrong day. When they finally did show up, we were happy with their cleaning service, however, we live in Chilliwack and they told us that there was a two-hour minimum, but now they have decided that there is a three-hour minimum that is not listed on their website and they decided to drop us as a client without any explanation. Also, we have been waiting for weeks for receipts despite multiple requests for them.

I booked from Deana at a quote of $450. Deana sugguested we discuss the quote again when her worker comes. I agreed. After she discussed with her worker, she adjusted the quote to $550 and agreed the task includes and described first floor windows inside and outside, oven, and refrigerator.
As you both for dicribed, she asked been payment when the job has not done. She asked e-transfer and explained preferred cash only. She promised to send me had invoice and receipt by email, but, after 3 days, until now I have not seen that.
The worker quit without cleaning up the outside windows, and he forgot the inside of the oven and the refrigerator. When we discussed Deana called me and send me unpolite and abusive notes. The worker left with uncompleted tasks. Deana declared that the task should not include the window, or it should be $850.
I agree that Deana is rude, aggressive, and dishonest.

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. The worst company ever to exist. stole $300 from me and refused to honor the booking because they randomly decided to charge me $600 for 600sq ft empty room..... I told them I'm not giving them a cent more and to honor our Booking. keep in mind they've never even seen the EMPTY room. I told them they have terrible reviews and now I know why trying to upcharge me for nothing. They then said I'm rude and will not show up and kept my $300. I'll be taking them to court. This woman is a joke and a THIEF.

I can't comment on the service, as I didn't even hire her. I requested a quote through the website. Later, I saw she called my phone 3 times in 5 minutes, and texted me to call her back. I responded via text that I would prefer to receive a quote via email. She sent me an email asking me what kind of clean I wanted, but the email was full of spelling mistakes (she called her company "West Coast Meats"), and absolutely no punctuation. Then I received another similar email asking if I wanted to cleaning done by the weekend, and that I needed to get back to her as soon as possible. Again, no quotes like I requested.

Completely Unprofessional. Owner is arrogant and aggressive. I cannot believe this company.
Booked a home cleaning 2 months in advance as I was moving into a new place.
Called to confirm the week before and had to leave a message. The day comes and no cleaners. I call to find out what's going on and they have no record of the appointment. the owner then offered to come out another day, which I declined.
the owner then called back to say that after doing a search of her records they couldn't find my number.

Dumby me! I read "Three best house cleaning services Surrey, BC" and West Coast Maids was on there. I should have read Yelp. Live and learn.
Obviously, "Three Best" is paid advertising and reviews.
Cleaning lady arrived alone (I was told two people for $75/hr). She was a smoker (not in the house, but on her clothing). Deanna still wanted to charge us $75/hr for one person. All the cleaning did not get done - like obvious things: vacuuming and floor washing. Cell phone kept going off, taking up our money and time (I am guessing it was Deanna asking her about payment and time, etc.). Deanna told me rate depended on the "routine" cleaning, or "deep cleaning". Whose definition? Why would a rate change? The woman did a good job of cleaning the counter tops and shower door. But, with limited time, not everything was done.
How is Deanna still in business with only one star reviews??

Booked a cleaning for our townhouse a week in advance. Their website requires you to prepay. I thought it was strange but the google reviews were good so I did it. We prepaid $168 after taxes for a 2 hour clean. When the day came, the cleaners never showed up and didn't care to contact me at all. I ended up having to contact them and ask where they were. I received a poorly written email saying there was an accident. I replied asking for a refund since nobody came for the scheduled time, and I couldn't wait around all day. The lady then said her manager would be in on Friday to give a refund. They won't answer their phone now when I call. What the hell. I want my money back. I don't recommend dealing with these scammers at all

I will never hire this company again!
I called a week ago looking for a company that offered weekend spring cleaning. Deanna said no problem and they had an opening Saturday (July 15) at 8:30am, so I booked them.
I received a call back the next day from someone else asking if my call was returned. I said yes I was booked in for Saturday. Two days later I get a call from Deanna asking if I had an appointment for the weekend. I said yes and hung up. The next day day I received another phone call asking them same thing. I confronted them wondering why they are so disorganized and she said we like to call and confirm because people are no shows. So, against my better judgement I disregarded the warning signs and kept my appointment.
Friday night at 6pm I get another phone call from Deanna asking if the cleaning crew was a no show. I said no, my appointment wasn't until Saturday. She said oh, well I have a crew on their was to your house now can you let them in. Being a Friday night I already had plans and said unfortunately that wouldn't work. She pleaded with me for a few minutes and tried to make me feel guilty for not letting them in and eventually she gave up and we said goodbye. 10 minutes later I get a knock on my door from the cleaning crew apologizing for being late...I explained and away they went.
The next morning another crew showed up that were very nice and did a great job. However, Deanna must have called them 5 times in the 3 hours to ask about time frame, payment, etc. Like come on, I'm paying by the hour and you are interrupting them every 30 minutes.
The icing on the cake is when Deanna called me again around 10am asking how I was paying after she already asked the crew several times, which I responded by etranser. She gave me get email address and said I needed to pay by 11am (crew was finishing at 11:30). Sorry, but last time I checked you pay for something when the job is complete and after the walk through which she claims on her website. She said I had to do the walk through early and to text her a picture of the etransfer before the crew is finished. Oh ya, I forgot to mention she quoted me one price on the phone a week earlier and then another when she called back the day of.

I wanted to give them a high rating as I know many people who own their own businesses and I'm not here to take away business, I just want what has been agreed upon. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the job. As it states on the website 100% guarantee money back. After many back and forth text messages where I admit I may have come across frustrated but as the customer I was dealt with unpleasant, sharp and quite rude responses. I was shocked at the way I was spoken to. I have reached out numerous times via email to follow up on the agreed refund to be e-transferred as I had paid before the job was even complete also requested an invoice. I haven't heard back. I've sent a couple of text messages but as I was told in my last correspondence they had blocked my number. All I want to do is to move on and get back what I was promised. I've read other reviews and I will agree my experience very similar, but decided to try to keep this short as the back and forth have already taken so much mental and personal time.
