Wheel Works

They are friendly and flexible. They can special order tires that are not normally sold. They are very busy, so that if you request an appointment time on-line, they will call if you if that slot is not available. Thus I prefer to call or visit them in person to be sure. I have been using their services repeatedly over many years.

I came in on Saturday for my appointment at 11 am to get new tires put on and was told it wouldn't be able to be done that day. I was planning to have the new tires put on for a day trip i was doing on sunday which didn't happen. Then, I wasn't able to drop my car off because i needed it to go to work until Thursday. Thursday rolls around and I drop the car off at 8 AM and they say it will be ready early afternoon. I keep waiting for a call and they never bother to call me. Finally, I call them at 5 PM and they say yeah, your car is ready. I would have expected a call!

Additionally, every time I go to wheel works I feel like the employees are just having the worst day ever and would rather be anywhere else and they are always rude to me (and super slow). When you walk into the store most of the time they don't even acknowledge you and continue looking at the computer. I'm going to have to find a new tire shop.

Took in for a flat repair, upon my arrival the attendant repeatedly said rear left on my tire when I instructed him it was the front left. Left it overnight and when I picked it up it was clear that they had taken the rear left tire off in confusion as well as scratching the inner edge of the rim. It seems like they tried to clean the wheels as a courtesy as well and in the process damaged the clear coat.

It took 8 hours for them to rotate tires and change the oil. The car was out of alignment after I left. When I brought it back for correction there was a line out the front door that didn't move after 20 minutes. Avoid at all cost.

Maybe the most incompetent staff and worst customer service experience of my life.

This is how they returned the car to me after getting new tires mounted and an alignment. The brand new tires are filthy. My rims are filthy, much dirtier than when I dropped the car off. They didn't put any covers over the seat or carpet. Zero effort.

I made an appointment at 9am and selected the option to wait onsite until they it was complete. Apparently they don't honor scheduled appointments and said to come back 2-3pm.

Around 1pm Steve called to say they couldn't find the "key" for the wheel lock. He said I would need to go to a dealership to get one....I'll leave out all of their communication issues but Steve and Christina need to learn how to work together. I received multiple calls since they were not on the same page.

So I called BMW of SF and told them my situation. They said they were full but to bring it in anyway. On my way to pick up, I called my mechanic at Richardson Automotive and told him.

He laughed and said he had a key. He was not sure why Wheel Works doesn't have one when they specialize in wheels.......

I rescheduled all of my afternoon meetings and picked up my X3 from Wheel Works to bring to my mechanic. When I got to Richardson Automotive, my mechanic found the key in the trunk compartment immediately. In less than 10 seconds!

I drove back to Wheel Works and told them it was there the entire time. If you watch a YouTube video it is exactly where the video says. Steve did not apologize. I had to ask him when it would be done. He said close to 5pm.

I asked for discount when I picked up the car due to their incredible incompetence.

Steve then blamed my wife for not answering their phone call. My wife is a teacher and I gave them my phone number in the AM when I dropped the car off. Another communication breakdown on their part.

Steve is a complete moron and rude on top of it.

They are my go-to tire shop as they price-match on tires and treat my wheels with care.
I recently spotted a nail in one of my tires. Brought the car in and they found the nail AND a screw! Fortunately, both were short enough that they only got lodged in the tread but not deep enough to cause any leak. They removed both and best of all, at no charge!

Hit pretty bad pothole on the road. Called wheel works and confirmed they have tires I need in stock and can replace today (Sunday afternoon) and asked to get appointment. When I came to store they said no way they can do that today and they can't find my appointment in the system.

Wasted so much time and other stores were already closed or about to close.

All of these "One stars" reviews in here says exactly what my experience here was;
Lack of professionalism and customer services, rudeness towards customers, incompetence in resolving issues with their own appointment and or booking system; Overall a very unpleasant experience. Got my tires installed elsewhere, and had a much better experience with much bigger savings. Beware of this place for any automotive services you may need for your vehicle, this place is not one of those places I would recommend; To make things short, this place really don't give a f*** about you.

Had an 11 am appointment for a tire repair. It is now 7.30pm... still no car. I have purchased 3 tires and a battery in the last 6 months from WW.

TLDR: Went here because I had a flat
tire. Wheelworks is full of rude/dismissive employees who will try to sell you things you don't need and SUPER slow service. Do not come here - especially if you are a younger woman.

I walked into the office and was standing around for 10 minutes before ever being acknowledged. There were 4 men behind the desk and they all ignored me. Then a middle-aged man came in (who wasn't even a customer, he was some kind of electrician there to fix something) and they immediately looked up and asked how they could help him. I'd been standing there, waiting and no one even batted an eye, but as soon as a man came in they were eager to help.

Then when they finally did get to me, they tried to tell me I needed to replace multiple tires. I bought this car only two months ago so there was no way I needed to replace more than just the one that was flat. It was obvious they were just trying to upsell me.

I dropped the car off early in the morning and they took ALL DAY to replace that tire. It wasn't ready for pick up until the day following and they never called to give me updates throughout the day or anything. They finally called me at 7:30pm telling me to come the following day.

Overall, a very subpar experience and I will not be going back.
