Jesse’s 5-star review: Started coming here when I was 17 with my dad. I'm 43 now, been through five cars, and I'm sitting in the shop, car is on the lift and Phil is running about making things happen. It's been a great 35 years, Phil. Thanks for all the miles. See you in 5000 miles. -
Jesse’s 3-star review: I am compelled to write an update based on the two last dishes I have order from Lil' Joe. I got the shrimp curry and the mongolian beef. Both were a pile of onions in sauce with five pieces of meat. I am sad. I used to love this place. But now it seems that the cost of meat is too much for the prices - so we use onions as filler. Now to find a new take-out place... -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Went again, chicken special, white sauce. Let's talk crust. The crust was thin and tasty. Not super thin, enough to pad and support the toppings. It was crisp through to the center of the pie. Very nice :) For $30 we got a coke, a beer and a HUGE large pizza. The price was right, the food was great, and I will be back. If you live in Alameda (or even if you don't), you must try this place. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Ok, this one is for the service department. I went in first with my old motorcycle because I thought the clutch needed to be adjusted. I brought it in, the service manager sat on the bike, started it up, did a short clutch and release, got off and said, "There's nothing wrong with it." The best repair is one that doesn't need to happen. Second, I brought the 'wing in for it's first oil change. I wanted to see how it was done so I don't break anything if I do it. They were really fast getting to the bike (I just rode in that day), and the service guy patiently showed me how to take off the faring, where everything was, and gave me some pointers (as well as checking several other parts of the bike - no charge for that). This is a great place. Watch out for the speedbump going into service though, I bottomed my 'wing out. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Gas prices = Honda. I went to 4 car dealerships that day, it was cool and sunny.... The salesman greeted us as we got out of the car. I give him five stars because he let the car do the talking. He answered my questions, showed me some options, and never said "What's it going to take to get you in this car today?" He was polite, not pushy, and accomodating to what I was looking for. I didn't end up buying a car there (I wanted a motorcycle). Yet, I was treated very well there - respectful, straightforward, and non-pushy. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Wow. I have never had such a great experience shopping for anything. Top notch communication about deliveries. I knew exactly when they were coming, and if there were changes, I was updated. Just this portion alone blows my mind. Second, the furniture we purchased (coffee table and endtable) was assembled by the delivery guy (can I use names in this thing?). The furniture was very affordable and I got exactly what I wanted. This is an amazing experience. Unequivocally recommend this store!!! -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Super-impressed with this place. I got a latte and my wife got a cup of coffee. First off the cup was enormous. I thought I was going to be twitching for a day (I didn't). The coffee was well-made, clean-tasting, and they do the little design-in-the-foam thing. I don't use cafes for this kind of thing, but they have the wi-fi and couches to sit on. The decor is calm and the place was pretty quiet when I was there (no line, maybe 6 other people sittin around). Good stuff, and a nice alternative to the big coffee co. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: I love Lowe's. My wife and I were walking along, carrying a few items. An employee stopped and asked if we found everything ok - we did. THEN he asked if we would like him to get us a shopping cart! WOW! Has a great selection, good prices, helpful employees. This is my home-improvement store. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Hardwood floor in the house, needed rugs... The experience here was so good, I was suspicious. The employees were patient, let us try out multiple rugs over the course of two days (we could have taken a week). People were overtly friendly and helpful. Loaded and unloaded the truck with rugs. When we bought them, they made sure we knew the conditions under which the purchase would be held (we could bring it back for a refund, not a store exchange). Wow, just wow. Check it out, you have to see it to understand. Top notch company here. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: I have to recommend them based on the work ethic the owners have. I was trained by Russ, and on several jobs we repaired work by other companies - Russ taught me that we would do the job once, and do it right. The work was to function until the company wanted it changed. We never got called back to fix a set up. This company is the way to go hands down. You will get the best advice, service and equipment. I personally guarantee it. Choosing Allred Comm. for your communications needs will be best decision you could make for your company. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Got my M.A. and teaching credential here. Reasons why SCU is great: 1) When you call, someone answers the phone. 2) The staff works to make sure you pass. 3) The campus is always beautiful. 4) Close to a pizza place. The place is fantastic, but you'll pay for it... -
Jesse’s 5-star review: SJPD is all business. Had one bad experience as a teen, but it was handled professionally. I have to repect an agency that takes control of a situation, and gets the job done. Remember, the police don't know who you are, what your frame of mind is, what your plans are, what medication you're on... Just be polite, follow directions, and no sudden movements. -

Jesse’s 5-star review: I have worked with 123-Awards for 8 years now. I run a Theatre Department for a high school and we do awards ceremonies every year for the students in the program. 123 has provided my students with high-quality trophies for each of these events. The kicker is their prices and service. They excel in each. Arnie is an amazing person to work with. If you need recognition plaques, trophies and the like, 123 is the way to go. THEY SHIP TOO!!! -

Jesse’s 5-star review: For a first experience, my wife and I got a lot out of our visit. Granted, we only spent 20 bucks, but the young lady that was helping us answered so many questions and gave us MUCH info about stroller and car seats we didn't know before, it was very worth it just to walk in the door. As far as knowledgeable and very helpful, this place is great. -
Jesse’s 4-star review: The wife and I popped in yesterday to get hand and footprints of the kid in clay. I didn't get any names (my bad), but everyone we met was very friendly and complimented the baby (a social must for people with kids). The gentleman with the red bands on his arm was great, and helped us a great deal. For $40 we got his hands and his feet cast, and they should be fired and done in two weeks. I take one star for the sick one (no sick around kids). I will update when we get the work back. -
Jesse’s 5-star review: Good eats, and the special movie-ticket offer makes the meals really wallet-friendly. Bring a movie ticket from Alameda theatre and Planet Crepes will give you one free with the purchase of a crepe. Beyond that, the food is really good. The make the crepes on the spot (and the place was staffed by teens, who make some good food!). I had a chicken pesto in a wheat crepe (at the young lady's recommendation), and it was very tasty. This is a very nice stop while walking the shops of Alameda. If you don't feel like a Snapple or water, there is also a bubble drink a few doors down (I got the Snapple, but the wife likes the tapioca things). -

Jesse’s 5-star review: After getting the run around from three other dealers, my wife found SF Honda. They were able to get the car she was looking for, in the color she wanted, during the weekend (so she wasn't working), the salesman didn't try to finagle anything or up-sell or check with his manager or the "mandatory options". It really was what car buying should be. We dealt with Mark. Our finance person was next door to Mark (I don't remember her name. Great lady though). We had called and let Mark know were going to come by to see the car and buy if all was in order. We had a new Honda that afternoon.
