Candy’s 5-star review: We've always driven by Kwan Luck but never thought to try it out. Last night, my father-in-law brought my husband and me here for a quick weeknight dinner. The three of us ordered the daily soup, scrambled eggs and prawns, tung choy with beef and half a salt-baked chicken. Simple homey dishes that are fun to share. The food here reminds me of the simple home-cooked dishes that my grandmother would have made for us. While the dishes were a little pricey, they make it up with generous-sized portions. The daily soup was a pork bone, soybean and soy sheet soup. The soup was rich and flavourful with a hint of sweetness from the carrots. It was so good I had 4 bowls to myself! The salt-baked chicken was soft and tender, and the tung choy was done nicely with the leaves still being bright and green. My favourite dish of the night was definitely the scrambled eggs with prawns. The prawns were fresh and snappy, and the eggs were creamy and full of flavour. This place is now on my list of places to go when I am craving some homecooked food. -
Candy’s 5-star review: I've always walked by this place and thought it was just another bakery cafe. I finally stopped by to try it out today and was surprised to find that they were a Mexican bakery that serves tacos, burritos, and more. I ordered a concha and Mexican hot chocolate for a quick bite before an appointment. I've never tried concha bread before, and I loved it. The bread was soft and buttery, and the sweet topping wasn't too sweet; it balanced the flavors nicely. The hot chocolate is probably one of the best Mexican hot chocolates I've had in the Lower Mainland. It had just enough spice for a kick, but it didn't overwhelm the chocolaty flavor. Pamola also has a great selection of tarts, cakes, and different styles of bread. I will be stopping by again to try their lava cake, and perhaps the tres leches, horchata, and tiramisu. -

Candy’s 5-star review: Hands down, one of the best Candy stores in the lower mainland. I would even say probably THE BEST Candy store in the lower mainland. They carry a huge range of treats from around the globe, and also had some hard to find items that I have only known to be sold in one other place. YOU MUST STOP BY IF YOU ARE IN WHITE ROCK -

Candy’s 5-star review: They are not messing around.. when they say big burgers they mean big burgers. Great value for your money. I had the single bacon cheese burger with onions, lettuce, grilled onions, pickles, ketchup and mayo. So good. The meat patty looked hand pressed and cooked to perfection. Juicy and full of flavour. They didn't skimp out on the toppings. The burger was perfect all around. -

Candy’s 5-star review: I had ordered 6 medium pizza's from them for the office, and got great feedback from the staff. I had ordered one each of Vegetarian, Margherita, Pepperoni, Pancetta, Mediterranean, and Meat lovers. I had a slice each of the Margherita, and Vegetarian pizzas. Between the two, I liked the Margherita pizza more. The sauce and cheese works well together, and the little bursts of tomato gave it extra flavor kicks. They were like little flavor bombs hidden throughout the pizza. Even tho I didn't get to try the other pizzas, the general feed back was positive. The staff seemed to really enjoy the pizzas. There was none left by the end of the meeting! Just a note, their pizza's seem to be smaller than the ones you'd find at dominos or pizza hut. So if you are feeding a large crowd, stick with the large sized pizzas. -
Candy’s 4-star review: I finally got a chance to try Clove with my co-workers for a holiday lunch. And my! What a beautiful restaurant! The decor is elegant and inviting. I ordered the Afghani Lamb Masala and it was delicious. The portions looked a little small to me, but was surprised to find a good amount of meat and was filling. The sauce was creamy and so full of flavour, and paired well with their garlic naan and basmati rice. -

Candy’s 5-star review: The atmosphere and staff are lovely and the food is heavenly. Between 5 of us, we ordered a Rucola Salad, Caserecce e Tartufo, the daily speacial, Margherita, Rucola e Prosciutto and a Salsicca. There was plenty of food to go around, and some left overs for our cousin who couldn't make it. I recommend the Caserecce e Tartufo, it was creamy, strong but not overpowering truffle flavour, and perfectly cooked pasta. It was amazing. The Rucola e Prosciutto pizza was a close second. How can you go wrong with prosciutto on cheesey bread? -

Candy’s 2-star review: This pretty restaurant that looks more like a cafe than your average Vietnamese restaurant. Reservations are recommended as they can get quite busy at meal times. The food itself is nothing spectacular. The Lemongrass Chicken on Rice with Eggs was just average and the Salad rolls were nothing special. For the price of their dishes, I had expected something a little "more".
