Most of the sources at receptuon were just listicles and rankings. I have trouble of finding something substantial reliable source that talks about him significantly, not just about passing mentions and a short commentary. GreenishPickle! (🔔) 12:05, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Note: This discussion has been included in the deletion sorting lists for the following topics: Fictional elements and Video games. Skynxnex (talk) 15:09, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Delete: Lots of sections that are unsourced, much of the only sourced section (Reception) reads less as reception so much as sourced speculation about character details from the individual games bundled together. Rambling Rambler (talk) 18:52, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Merge. I, unfortunately, cannot find much meaningful character analysis done in reliable sources. It's tough, but that's what you end up with sometimes.
A merge to Characters of the Metal Gear series § Revolver Ocelot should be sufficient rather than deletion, though. That's in line with the outcome of similar AfDs like AFD:Venom Snake, AFD:Meryl Silverburgh, and AFD:Otacon. There's still content worth porting over to the list (such as replacing the first paragraph of the list with the lead of the article since it's better written). –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 19:24, 2 January 2024 (UTC) - Merge to Characters of the Metal Gear series#Revolver Ocelot per nom, no standalone notability. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:41, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
- Merge/Redirect per MJL. There isn't enough to reach WP:SIGCOV, but some of the mentions can be WP:PRESERVEd at the target. Shooterwalker (talk) 04:58, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- Weak Keep There is some discussion about him at least, this article on The Ringer discusses him in depth, and while I'm not sure if the site itself is reliable, the author has written for other publications. This book has a page discussing him in the context of Japan's fascination with cowboys. Fanbyte gives some analysis of the character also. I do think there are sources, possibly on the cowboy angle as a whole looking at Google Scholar, but I don't have time to do a deep dive.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 18:02, 5 January 2024 (UTC)
- Keep per Kung Fu Man's sources. SnowFire (talk) 02:26, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Relisting comment: Assessment of the sources presented by Kung Fu Man would be helpful.

- Keep In my opinion the reception alone shows notability, and now with Kung Fu Man's new sources (which discuss the character in depth) there is clear notability shown in the subject. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 21:03, 9 January 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. It's not the strongest, but I feel that the examples Kung Fu Man provided help get it over the finish line. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 11:25, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
