On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 2:37 p.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) was dispatched to a reported fire behind 318 Lake Marina Ave. Upon NOFD arrival to the scene at 2:42 p.m., it was determined that the actual fire involved a nine-unit storage building at 311 W. Robert E. Lee Blvd.

Arrest Made at Two-Alarm Fire, 2617 Allen Street

On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 12:40 a.m., the New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) responded to a report of residential fire at the intersection of Allen Street and Hope Street. The Fire Company arrived at 12:46 am to find a one-story wood framed abandoned dwelling involved in fire, spreading to exposures and immediately struck a second alarm.

Update: Victim Found Following Investigation of One Alarm Residential Fire

The body of an adult male was located inside the scene of this morning’s one alarm fire (2606 Gordon St.), at approximately noon today. The victim was found following a collaborative search conducted by New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) Fire Investigators and Special Operations personnel, the New Orleans Police Department, the Louisiana State Fire Marshal along with special cadaver locating dogs provided by Louisiana Search and Rescue and Mercy Search and Rescue.
