Calsense Named Carlsbad Small Business Of The Year

CARLSBAD, CA — Smart irrigation pioneer Calsense was recently named Small Business of the Year by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce.

The 2023 Carlsbad Business Achievement and Distinction Awards were celebrated at a gala luncheon April 24 at The Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa. The award recognized Calsense's 2022 business achievements, including the company's California Green Business Network Certification and philanthropic and educational efforts.

"Calsense was so deserving of this award as Business of the Year, not just for what they do as a business, water conservation, but for everything they do to engage with and give back to our community," said Bret Schanzenbach, president and CEO of Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. "They are a true asset to Carlsbad."

Calsense was founded in 1986 in Carlsbad at the start of one of one of the state's longest droughts. The company is known for data-enhanced solutions that conserve water, manage labor and save customers money.
