SDG&E Customers In Carlsbad To Receive Texts In Notification Test

About 1.1 million customers will receive a test text message. Additionally, 300,000 select customers will receive a test phone call.

CARLSBAD, CA — San Diego Gas & Electric will conduct a regional test of its public notification systems Wednesday.

About 1.1 million residential and business customers will receive a test text message between 10:30 a.m. and noon Wednesday, according to SDG&E. The test text message will come from one of the following numbers: 67283, 226787, 78015 or 77295.

Additionally, 300,000 select customers throughout the region will receive a test phone call and voice message from 1-800-411-7343, which serves as the company's main customer care center number.

This is the second test of the company's public notification systems this year. The first test took place on June 1.
