Flash Flooding Risk Continues For The Rest Of Monday In Hollywood: NWS
Flash flooding is still likely to occur in Hollywood and nearby mountains for the rest of Monday, the National Weather Service said.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — As Hollywood continues to be pummeled by rainfall — leading to flooding, mudslides and road closures — the National Weather Service says flash flooding remains a risk Monday in the neighborhood, Griffith Park and surrounding mountains.
The NWS on Monday afternoon extended its Flash Flood Warning, which is now set to expire at 9 p.m. Monday.
"Between 6 and 11 inches of rain have fallen across the warning area. Doppler radar indicated a persistent band of moderate to heavy rain across the warning area and extending offshore which will likely continue into the early evening hours," the NWS wrote.

The warning area includes Malibu, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Griffith Park, Malibu Creek State Park, Calabasas, Topanga, Westlake Village, Pacific Palisades, the Sepulveda Pass and the Santa Monica Mountains.
