Livermore Students Return To School

"The first day included a level of excitement and energy that we haven't felt in the last 30 months," said Superintendent Chris Van Shaack.

LIVERMORE, CA - Livermore students returned to school Tuesday and by all accounts, the year is off to a good start.

"The first day included a level of excitement and energy that we haven’t felt in the last thirty months- a sense of hope and optimism from students and staff and, ultimately, our whole community. We’re all eager for the year ahead. We have very high expectations," LVJUSD Superintendent Chris Van Schaack said in a statement.

This year will mark the first school beginning since 2019 without noticeable COVID restrictions like masks or social distancing.
