LIVERMORE, CA — The City of Livermore announced that it is shortening its Family-Friendly Fourth of July Celebration from 10-12 p.m. on Thursday due to excessive heat. The event was originally scheduled to last until 2 p.m.

Livermore is expected to see highs of 106 Thursday, so the celebration will feature hydration stations, misters, and fans.

Aside from that, the city’s Independence Day celebration will be full of exciting events like live music from The Groove Objective, food from Livermore-based culinary collective Amuse Kitchen and many other local vendors. Kids will enjoy attractions like face painting, magic, bubbles and crafts, and a petting zoo, which was recently added.
