LONG BEACH, CA — Long Beach police are investigating a shooting that occurred near Silverado Park early Thursday morning.

The shooting was reported at about 3:46 a.m. in the 3100 block of Delta Avenue. Police located evidence of the shooting and discovered a man was sitting in his car when the suspect approached him.

According to the victim, the suspect fired a gun toward the car multiple times but the victim was not hit. The man fled from the area and called the Long Beach Police Department to report the crime.

At this time, no information about the suspect's identity or the motive for the shooting is known. No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
