Eataly’s Terra is the Perfect Spot for Spring Brunch

Located on top of Eataly in the Westfield Century City mall, Terra is an al fresco restaurant and lounge with a wood burning Italian grill and panoramic views of Los Angeles.

Seasonal ingredients are cooked over the huge burning grill and paired with pastas, salads, wines and cocktails.

On our visit we started off with the Terra Bloody Mary and Strawberry K cocktail with mezcal, passion fruit liqueur, ginger syrup, strawberry and lime juice.

Our first plates included the filling and delicious focaccia with cherry tomatoes and Castelvetrano olives; grilled skewers of beef, lamb and chicken served with grilled rustic bread; grilled King Trumpet mushrooms with balsamic vinegar, and crabcakes with a baby organic green salad and Calabrian aioli. All were delicious and the mushrooms provided a great alternative for vegan guests.

Next came a group of hearty dishes including charred green and white asparagus with lemon aioli, charred broccolini with chili oil and lemon, herb marinated skirt steak with sunny side up eggs and roasted potatoes and a beautiful carbonara. Guests can also order avocado toast, French Toast with blueberries and zabaione cream, pork sausage and potato hash with eggs, Croque Monsieur and eggs benedict with prosciutto. Terra also offers a great $39 brunch set menu with bread, scrambled eggs with potatoes, and a choice of grilled mushrooms, pork and potato hash with eggs or spaghetti pomodoro.

Dessert included a pretty tiramisu served tableside. Other dessert options are their chocolate devil’s cake with hazelnut Bavarian cream, affogato, vegan walnut mousse with poached pears, a cassis chocolate cake and a variety of homemade gelato flavors.
