Man, Woman Found Dead In Murder-Suicide​ In Los Angeles County

The deaths of a man and a woman in the unincorporated South San Gabriel area was ruled a murder-suicide, authorities said.

SOUTH SAN GABRIEL, CA — The deaths of a man and a woman in the unincorporated South San Gabriel area was ruled a murder-suicide, authorities said Saturday.

Mariam Woodlin, 47, of Los Angeles, was shot to death and 37-year-old Rosemead resident Marco Ventura shot himself to death, the Medical Examiner's office reported.

Deputies were dispatched to the 7600 block of Steddom Drive, near Del Mar Avenue and the Monterey Park city limits, around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday regarding an unconscious man not breathing, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a woman at the location who was also unresponsive.

Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location, where they pronounced the two dead at the scene.
