Ocean Water Use Warning Issued For Marina Del Rey Beach

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health cautions residents before swimming at several Los Angeles beaches this weekend.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — An ocean water use warning was issued Friday night for several Los Angeles beaches, including Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey.

"The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health continues to warn residents who are planning to visit the below Los Angeles County beaches to be careful of swimming, surfing, and playing in ocean waters:

  • Pico-Kenter storm drain at Santa Monica Beach (Santa Monica South Tower 20)
  • Herondo Street Storm Drain in Hermosa Beach (Near Hermosa Tower TK)
  • Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
  • Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica
  • Mother’s Beach in Marina Del Rey
