Ocean Water Use Warning Lifts For Mother's Beach

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health lifted its ocean water use warning for Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey.

MARINA DEL REY, CA — An ocean water use warning was lifted Friday for Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health officials announced.

As of Friday, people are still urged to be careful before playing or swimming in the ocean near the Santa Monica Pier.

"The warning has been issued due to bacterial levels exceeding health standards when last tested," public health officials said.

Ocean water use warnings were lifted Friday for these beaches:

  • Redondo Beach at Sapphire Street
  • Inner Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro
  • Mother's Beach in Marina Del Rey
