BERLIN, CT — The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library's Adult Summer Reading Program packages the thrill of raffle drawings and/or the joy of an arcade with the serenity of a good book.

That's because the library, located at 234 Kensington Road, Berlin, is hosting a summer reading program, which is ongoing through Aug. 29, where one book read equals one raffle/game ticket.

Those same raffle tickets can also be accumulated and be redeemed for various prizes available at the front desk, like a modern arcade except books (not video games) are the means to win.

Gift baskets will be raffled off weekly throughout the process, usually on Thursdays.

As for the prizes, those not interested in raffles can save the tickets for small to medium to large items, ranging from library swag and stickers to pins and coupons as well as books and puzzles.
