Amity Regional Set for Baseball Championship Game: Preview

There are two state title games scheduled for Friday and 12 more on Saturday in baseball, softball and lacrosse.

Championship Weekend has arrived for Connecticut high school sports, as two state titles will be decided Friday and a dozen more Saturday in baseball, softball and lacrosse.

Fans from three schools will have multiple games to attend: Waterford (baseball, boys lacrosse), Holy Cross (baseball, softball) and Darien (boys and girls lacrosse). There will be three teams of Spartans (Lewis Mills, Amity Regional and Somers), two Falcons (St. Paul, Joel Barlow) and two Rams (New Canaan, Cheshire), as well as Wreckers and Warriors, Bulldogs and Wildcats, Lions and Tigers (no Bears) and many more.

Baseball finals will all be held at Palmer Field in Middletown, softball at West Haven High School, boys lacrosse at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk and girls lacrosse at Jonathan Law High School in Milford.
