Snow Accumulation Estimates Released for Middlefield, Durham

One day after a foot of snow fell on the area more accumulating snow is on its way. Here's the latest details on how much.

A foot of snow fell on average around Connecticut Thursday and more snow is in the forecast tonight for the entire state and possibly even more snow on Sunday, especially for inland areas. And of course we woke up to temps in the single digits this morning. Two days ago temps were in the 60s in some parts of the state. Welcome to winter.

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote, “If you hate snow... sorry about that! We've got 1"-3" tonight and then a chance for more snow later Sunday. Our overnight computer models are bullish on some additional accumulation Sunday afternoon and evening - especially inland. Here are the odds of >3" of snow Sunday PM - they're better than 50/50!”

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote, “A cold day today - dress for 15°! That will be the wind chill! I'm expecting a round of snow overnight tonight. Plan on one to 4 inches for most of the state with some spots getting between five and 6 inches! It will end between 6 and 9 Saturday morning.”
