MASHANTUCKET, CT — A Springfield, MA dentist who had to retire due to permanent injuries following a fall at Foxwoods Resort Casino has been awarded a $1.3 million court settlement, The New London Day reported. Gary Goodman slipped on an "accumulation of a liquid substance" while in the Grand Pequot concourse near Dunkin' Donuts on June 28, 2016.

Goodman's attorney said that the water had likely been dropped by a casino patron and ignored by several employees who did not clean it up. The liquid had been on the floor for 20 minutes when Harrington slipped on it, fracturing his lower left leg, tearing tendons, and dislocating his left ankle.
