Wahlburgers Opens Chain's Only CT Location At Foxwoods

LEDYARD, CT — Wahlburgers officially opened its doors at Foxwoods Resort Casino in late August. The casino location is Wahlburgers' only restaurant chain's only one in Connecticut.

The eatery includes a "fast-casual menu filled with flavorful burgers, crispy fries and tots, and refreshing cocktails. For guests looking for daring and distinctive new dishes, it doesn't get any more delicious than this," Foxwoods shared on its website.

“Wahlburgers' commitment to quality and excellence aligns seamlessly with our vision of delivering unparalleled experiences to our guests,” Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, said in a statement.

On its Facebook page, Wahlburgers wrote, "You can bet on delicious burgers, tasty tots and creamy shakes."

Wahlburgers previously operated a restaurant at the Trumbull mall which opened in 2017 but closed in late 2020, the Connecticut Post reported at the time. Mark Wahlberg had visited the restaurant in June 2019.

The restaurant chain, which was launched in 2011, and the Wahlberg family was the subject of an A&E reality TV show.

On the Wahlburgers website, it states that "One brother, Donnie, didn't just join the school band as a kid. He created the most famous boy band in the world. His younger brother, Mark, didn't just take drama. He became one of the most famous actors in the world. And for Paul, well, he loved food and his family. But he wasn't satisfied cooking for just them. He wanted to cook for everyone else's family too. He was hungry for something more. So, he created Wahlburgers..."

This will be the second recent celebrity-based restaurant to open at Foxwoods. This summer, celebrity chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay opened a new Hell's Kitchen restaurant location.

The Foxwoods location is Ramsay's sixth Hell's Kitchen location and the first in New England. Located in the casino's Grand Pequot Concourse, the eatery seats nearly 260 guests, featuring a chef's counter and 40-seat private dining room, according to Foxwoods.
