Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Connecticut

Today is a good day to go stay home and go back to sleep.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Connecticut Tuesday as dense fog and heavy rain will dominate this morning. There is a chance for some isolated thunderstorms today too. The good news is that while the rain is heavy now it will taper off by the evening commute home. The fog conditions should also improve too as the day progresses. An inch of rain is expected to fall and the winds will also pick up later today.

The National Weather Service says, "A warm front passes across the area today. Wet weather along with mild temperatures can be expected today. Showers could be heavy at times today, and will taper off this afternoon from west to east.

As southerly winds increase, temperatures will rise into the 50s. A cold front will move across the area this afternoon, passing well to the east tonight as low pressure deepens to the north. South winds turn to the west, and remain rather gusty. Drier air returns, and temperatures will cool off, falling into the 20s and 30s tonight. On Wednesday, expect the mercury to rise into the 30s, possibly reaching the lower 40s under partly cloudy skies. High pressure builds from the west, and will ensure seasonably cold, but dry conditions through Friday.
