CT Weather: Record Breaking Heat Is In The Forecast

Connecticut is on the doorstep of record-breaking weather as temperatures will be into the 90s on Monday and the humidity will make it feel in excess of 100 degrees. But that is on Monday, and before we get to the record breaking heat we are looking at a very nice Father's Day weather weekend in Connecticut.

We will see plenty of sun over the next few days with temps into the 80s. Monday may also bring thunderstorms to the state as well.

The National Weather Service says we will see "dry and seasonable weather" over the next few days.

"Skies will clear during Friday night, leading to plenty of sunshine on Saturday. After a seasonably cool night for Friday night, temperatures will climb back above normal during Saturday. Highs on Saturday will reach the lower and middle 80s, with 70s along the immediate shoreline."

And as for Monday, here's a look at what we can expect.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 5 to 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65. West wind 3 to 7 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88.
