Clearwater Council Agrees To Rename Damascus Road

The Clearwater City Council has adopted a resolution to change the name of Damascus Road to Dr. Kiran C. Patel Boulevard.

CLEARWATER, FL -- The Clearwater City Council has adopted a resolution to change the name of Damascus Road to Dr. Kiran C. Patel Boulevard.

The city received a request from the property owner that is developing Nova Southeastern University, formerly the site of Clearwater Christian College.

There will no changes in the traffic pattern and light system at the intersection of Courtney Campbell Causeway. The only change will be the lengthening of the eastbound to northbound left turn lane into Dr. Kiran C. Patel Boulevard. This will be accomplished by eliminating the westbound to southbound left turn lane into Damascus Beach.
