Clearwater Residents Can Pay To Park Just Once A Year

Clearwater residents can purchase a resident parking permit once and park all year long.

CLEARWATER, FL -- Residents fed up with hunting under their car floor mats and backseats for change to park in city lots now have an alternative.

Clearwater residents can purchase a resident parking permit once and park all year long. Permits cost $75 per year or $40 per six-month period and are valid at seven select parking lots:

  • Lot #36, Rockaway Lot, 4 Rockaway St.
  • Lot #37, Avalon/Kendall, 6 Avalon St.
  • Lot #38, Bay Esplanade, 51 Bay Esplanade
  • Lot #39, McKay Field, 605 Mandalay Ave.
  • Lot #44, Courtney Campbell, 3390 Courtney Campbell Causeway
  • Lot #68, Sailing Center and Sand Key North Beach Area, 1001 Gulf Blvd.
  • Lot #47, Mandalay Avenue (on-street meters), north of Kendall/Juanita

One permit may be purchased for each vehicle registered to an incorporated city of Clearwater address. Permits are recorded by the vehicle tag information that is provided and must be permanently affixed to the inside driver’s side corner of the front windshield. Permits are non-transferrable.

To buy a permit, visit the Parking System Office located at the Municipal Services Building, 100 S. Myrtle Ave., Suite 220, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parking Rate Increases At North Beach Parking Plaza

Additionally, effective Jan. 2, the rate to park at the North Beach Parking Plaza parking garage on north Clearwater Beach will increase from $2 per hour to $3 per hour. In addition, the daily maximum charge to park all day will increase from $20 to $30 maximum per day.

The proposed minimal increase in the parking rates more closely aligns with the city’s beach parking rates in Lot 31 (Pier 60) and Lot 32 (420 South Gulfview Blvd.).

For long-term parking, the city offers a permit program for Clearwater Beach employees at a monthly rate of $80 per month plus tax. The cost of that permit has not changed.

The garage is located at 490 Poinsettia Ave.
