McMullen Booth Road To Close April 5-9 For Railroad Crossing Work

Pinellas County Public Works is conducting an upgrade to the CSXT railroad crossing on McMullen Booth Road.

CLEARWATER, FL -- Pinellas County Public Works is conducting an upgrade to the CSXT railroad crossing on McMullen Booth Road between Drew Street and State Route 590, just north of Ruth Eckerd Hall.

The construction begins at 5 a.m. on Friday, April 5. During this time, McMullen Booth Road will be closed in both directions to all vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. The project is expected to take five days to complete with McMullen Booth Road anticipated to reopen on Tuesday, April 9.

Detour Route:

  • U.S. 19 will be used as the main north-south detour route
  • S.R. 580 and Drew Street will be the primary east-west detour route
  • Enterprise Road, Sunset Point Road and S.R. 590 may be used as secondary detour routes
  • All truck traffic must use the primary detour route
  • Signage will provide motorists with ample detour information
