Public Meeting Set On Pinellas Trail North Loop Segment Project

Residents are invited to meet with county representatives and learn more about the project.

CLEARWATER, FL -- Pinellas County will host a Neighborhood Information Workshop regarding the upcoming Pinellas Trail North Loop Segment construction project on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 5 – 7 p.m. at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 3200 N. McMullen Booth Road, Clearwater.

The North Loop Segment will fill one of two gaps in an eventual 75-mile continuous multi-use pathway. The 6.8-mile segment extends from John Chesnut Sr. Park to the Duke Energy Trailhead at Enterprise Road. Local benefits include increased connectivity to schools, shopping and employment centers, new recreation opportunities and a route for non-motorized transportation.

The Pinellas Trail opened in 1990 and stretches from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg with connections to several cities. When completed, the loop will also provide regional connections to Hillsborough and Pasco County trail networks and will link to the western end of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Connector Trail, a 250-mile multi-use trail that will cross Florida.
