ICYMI: Tampa Bay Museums Offer Free Admission Saturday

The museums are taking part in the Smithsonian's Museum Day Live event.

Tampa Bay area residents who want to check out the local museum scene without paying the price of admission might want to clear their calendars for Saturday.

A number of local museums are taking part inSmithsonian magazine’s Museum Day Liveevent. That means on Saturday, Sept. 27, people who register for a free ticket can get into a host of participating museums at no charge.

The following Tampa Bay area museums have announced their intention to take part in Museum Day Live:
