Photos: Why Florida Rocks

Patch readers respond to a recent ranking that put Florida in last place for 'everything.'

The folks at the website Thrillist.com announced on Sunday that Florida is pretty much the worst at “everything.” Patch readers just don’t agree.

“Ridiculous,” wrote Patricia Horton on the St. Pete Patch Facebook page.

Amy Dar seems to see the rankings as a way to keep traffic down.

“Yes, it’s horrible” she joked. “Everyone should stay away.”

Viki Watson picked up Dar’s torch on the Clearwater Patch Facebook page. “Good to know, that way more people won’t move here because I love it here and it won’t be so overcrowded.”

“We have no state tax, our second Amendment is respected, our weather is awesome,” wrote David Haywood on Dunedin Patch’s Facebook page. “How terrible it must be for us to live in paradise.”

Reader Tracy Moore may have taken the cake in defending the Sunshine State’s honor though.

“Florida is the best place ever,” Moore wrote in an email that included some photos taken around the Bay Area that illustrate the point.
