Splash Park, Museums, Rec Center To Reopen In Tarpon Springs

The Tarpon Springs Splash Park will reopen June 15 with limited hours and capacity.

Press release from the City of Tarpon Springs: The Tarpon Springs Recreation Center located at 400 S. Walton Avenue announced that they will reopen to the public with limited hours beginning Monday, June 8. New safety measures will be in place due to COVID19. Practices are subject to change in accordance with city, county, state and federal guidelines.

New Recreation Center hours are as follows:

Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Friday: 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Saturday: 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

The Recreation Center will close Monday - Friday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. for cleaning.

The Recreation Center has established a temporary schedule of activities that will be update on an ongoing basis. Tarpon Springs Splash Park – Monday, June 15

The Tarpon Springs Splash Park will reopen on Monday, June 15, 2020, with limited hours and capacity. The new Splash Park hours will be 10 am until 1 pm, and 2pm until 6 pm daily. The park will be closed each day between 1 p.m. 2 p.m. for cleaning. Capacity will be limited to a total of 25 people.

Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum – Monday, June 8

The Tarpon Springs Heritage Museum at Craig Park will reopen on Monday, June 8, 2020. The museum is located at 100 Beekman Lane. The museum hours are 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Admission is $5 per person. Call 727-942-5605 for additional information. The TarponArts Ticket Office within the Heritage Museum will also be open beginning June 8 during the museum operating hours.

Safford House Museum – Wednesday, June 10

The Safford House Museum, located at 23 Parkin Court (just off Grand Boulevard), will reopen on Wednesday, June 10, 2020. Operating hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Museum admission with a docent led tour is $5 per person. Call 727-942-5605 for more information.
