Buford Man Dead After Domestic Dispute Leads To Physical Altercation

Officers responded to the home Wednesday after loud noises and grunting were heard coming from the Ivy Birch Way house.

BUFORD, GA — A man was found dead Wednesday morning after a domestic argument between residents turned into a physical altercation in the 3200 block of Ivy Birch Way, Gwinnett County Police said.

Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to Ivy Birch, from where police said loud noises and grunting had been heard at a home.

When officers arrived, they began looking for anyone in distress and saw lights on in the house, police said. Once the residents came to the door, police said officers noticed they looked as if they had been involved in a physical domestic altercation.

The residents were detained, and officers checked the house, finding a man dead inside of the home, police said. The man was not identified, and it is unknown how he died.

Police said the altercation resulted from an argument between the residents. A possible suspect was detained and was being interviewed, police said. Potential charges are unknown.
